Nurses are leaving in droves. They don't give a fuck about the pay bonuses anymore. They're just done. Elder neglect has always been a huge issue that's generally accepted because a lot of these old fucks are so demented they don't know they're being abused. But it's especially bad now. With COVID patients? Forget it. You go into these people's rooms and they have no idea they're even positive because the nurse hasn't been in to see them or say anything to them. And why should they? They should've gotten the jab, right? Being sick isn't bad enough, you need to be neglected and treated like shit on top of it, because science.
Good thing I don't work in that field and this is all 2nd hand info that's likely entirely false, otherwise I'd be an alcoholic.

My private doctor (non-NHS uk - paid for) basically said he hadn't had it; "believe in fully completed & repeatable trials which take several years if not more".
Yeah, people have become acutely aware of how basic some doctors' knowledge is, which is understandable for non-specialists - a general builder can probably do some plumbing / heating repair but a specialist would know many more details. It's also possible to become a doctor with memory-only knowledge & limited critical thinking, funding has also influenced education to a corrupting level.

I have some liberal family members. Like for Thanksgiving and even this weekend for an early Christmas extended family celebration they made their 5 and 3 year old kid wear masks. They got their 5 year old vaccinated.
And they've said that starting next year, they're done with this COVID stuff. No more masking. They're going to be free.
These people watch MSNBC daily. They live in a very expensive area where other liberals put "Black Lives Matter" signs in their yards.
And they've had enough. And they're going to tell the older relatives (who are also libs) to stop being so afraid.
I remarked to my wife that I hoped that this was kind of a turning point, not just in the family, but hopefully broader that people are sick of it.
And then this morning I saw this -- well worth the read.
