I think it was his way of setting a narrative and getting in front of the trolls before they eventually reveal the receipts: His terrible grades in his transcripts, his scary dangerous arrest report, his father's drunk driving article, etc.

"Woah, this report says the guy threatened to kill his ex and daughter! Well... he sounded like a loving husband on the podcast so... eh, I don't believe it."

"Wow, the transcripts say he failed every class! Well... he said he'd bust the curve on tests so.... eh, I believe him when he said his teachers told him he was super smart."

THEORY this was recorded last years around the same time as Pretend: (they married 2017) and the producer cancelled the ep because it was trash and disjointed (pat didn't prepare)

But Nikki and I have been married now for almost six years, and for most of that, we've been dealing directly with this.

Pat gets offended he wasted time out of his busy schedule for this.

Fast forward to October 2024, producer can't meet his deadline, takes this trash of an ep out of the drawer to save the day. Pat remains offended and thus doesn't brag on social media
