He was probably at the donut truck drive-thru if he wasn't TECHNICALLY in the building... usually people DRIVE but I've seen people just walk up to the window. IIRC it's the only place open that late in this area.

It's probably the most overrated sandwich. Most I tried haven't really been worth the wait. The overhype usually comes from transplants from Philly who make liking Philly things their personality (don't kill me @NortheastPhilly )
Specific to Rick, his decision to go to a cheesesteak spot at 10pm on a Friday perpetuates the narrative that Rick is a fatass who's reckless with his health. A cheesesteak is probably one of the most "fat person foods" of all of the regional food varieties, except for maybe deep dish pizza.
I'm a fat person and a few weeks ago I got loaded fries at the cheesesteak place and that just meant cheese and limp, wet mushrooms and onions on them. I didn't know it was possible to make loaded fries bad, but they managed.
When it's done right I really enjoy them but yeah I'm amazed at what people can fuck up.
A wiz cheesesteak from Steves can hang with any sandwich IMO, but I get that something caked with a cheese that immediately solidifies at room temperature isnt for everyone and that Im an uncultured guy
