This one and Jay And Silent Bob Reboot are humiliatingly bad. I liked Jay And Silent Bob, but I only made it twenty minutes into Reboot. It apeared to have been "filmed" and "acted" by people who've never done either before. And I hope he finally gives up on trying to make his daughter happen. It failed, and failed miserably.
This was so bad. The elements were there to do a TV miniseries, with like eight or ten episodes or something, but the film was terrible. Everything was hastily rushed and poorly telegraphed, the continuity was all fucked-up and distracting, and the acting was hammy and forced. The scene where the Dickie character drowns the woman in the ocean was one of the most laughably bad scenes of all-time. And the final scene with the coffin was just pitiful. It was so bad it was hard to believe the same people who did the show made it.
Like in Jay And Silent Bob Strike Back, when his homely wife is part of an impossibly hot female gang. Just because you can, it doesn't mean you should.
All of the main characters are immoral pieces of shit. I watched Titanic a year or so ago and rooted for them to all die. During the filming of the modern scenes in Titanic that are on the big research ship apparently James Cameron was acting like a douche to everyone. And he was banging the one actress, and it was obvious to everyone that there was some casting couch, or weird relationship going on between them. So someone took the catered food one day and poisoned it with acid which hit everyone and made them sick. No one got caught.

Battlefield Earth was a scientology movie. It is based on some of L Ron Hubbard's scribbled insanity. So his followers, including Travolta, actually believe that the movie is based on real history. That the Cycloes or whatever those aliens were came to Earth or similar planets and took them over. And the human race is one of the remnants of some huge intergalactic conflict that somehow Hubbard is privilege to knowing every detail. And one day scientology will be like some Jedi level religion leading us against the hostile aliens.

This in particular pissed me off. It was like no one involved had even watched the show, let alone worked on it. Remember in Cold Cuts when Chris starts whining to Ade how the two Tonys used to tease him as teenagers when he was a boy a few years younger than them? Then that shitty movie comes out and a teenage Tony is cradling a newborn Christopher in his arms? That's not even lazy writing. I don't know what you call that.
