Ok, but I’m not sure what that means. In NYC he EMTs don’t necessarily take you to the hospital.
You don't know ANYTHING
So Canadian paramedics serve a double role. They can take you to the hospital if you want to go or they can simply evaluate you and send their findings to a doctor.
Sorry to be serious for a second on Canadian Thanksgiving. But it helps a lot of people with issues like hoarding, chronic pain that can't be treated, and phobias. It's a pretty okay system.
