Just the idea of "podcast network" is so absurdly egotistical. How many popular podcasters tried to start their own network in the 2010's? I remember it being done by Kevin Smith, Rogan, Bill Burr, even fucking stupid Jay Mohr has his own network. As if they're on fucking television or something. "I'm the head of my own network now! Finally I get to choose the talent!" and it's just a bunch of their retarded friends doing horrible shows that nobody listened to, despite being on the same "network.".

Anthony had to have over 50K subs during his first month or two. Probably under 10K by the end of that year though. And under 5K or maybe even 1K after his domestic violence arrest. You have to remember that he was preparing for Compound Media during the last O&A contract and hoping to lure Jimmy to quit Sirius and leave Opie behind. When Jimmy told him that he was staying with Opie it killed pretty much all chances of Anthony having the momentum to succeed with his former co-host and boss. It also signaled to the entire O&A audience that neither Opie nor Jimmy believed in Anthony's new network and not to bother with it.

- July 2014, Anthony is fired from Sirius.
- August 2014, one month later, Anthony's show debuts on the Anthony Cumia Network.
- Anthony's show is four days a week, two hour a day, in late afternoons. Broadcast from his basement.
- September 2014, Opie and Jim announce that they have a new contract with Sirius. Neither will work with Anthony.
- Late 2014, Anthony begins putting commercials and infomercials in his show. Subscribers begin leaving in huge amounts in response.
- One of the infomercials is for some sex cream or viagra drug. Fans complain and Anthony lashes out at ungrateful 'losers.
- Colin Quinn spills a glass of coke on the table. This becomes the highlight of Anthony's entire network.
- April 2015, Opie and Anthony fight on Twitter and on air against each other. Opie says that Anthony is a liar and backstabber.
- Anthony goes on several rants against Opie saying that Anthony was the real talent behind the show and he will be bigger than O&A.
- Anthony begins talking with Norton about having him quit Sirius and work for him.
- October 2015, Anthony offers to allow Norton other shows and program on his Compound Network.
- December 2015, Anthony is arrested for domestic violence and has his guns confiscated.
- This causes practically every single subscriber to leave his network. His Compound Media venture arguably never recovers from this point.
- Anthony forced into rehab. Doesn't take rehab seriously. Alienates Jim Norton and most O&A fans. Opie goes radio silent.
- September 2016, Opie and Jim split up and do separate shows. Jim and Sam is formed.
- July 2017, Opie fired after Roland complains to Human Resources at Sirius. Anthony offers Opie half of Compound Media. Opie declines.
- August 2017, Compound Media announces that Artie Lange is joining. This announcement violates Artie's contract deliberately.
- Artie begins accusing Anthony and Keith behind their backs to other people of "ripping him off" and being "scumbags".
- September 2017, Artie Lange joins Compound Media.
- Artie shows up to Compound on drugs and doesn't take the show seriously. Clearly hates Anthony.
- December 2017, Artie arrested. Cannot make Compound Media gigs anymore. Anthony solo once again.
- May 2018, Artie fired. Yet another mass exodus on subscribers from Compound Media.
- February 2024, no sign of growth at Compound Media still. Anthony has lost his Long Island house. Can barely keep afloat.

So according to this, it all went downhill when Anthony started putting infomercials in his show.

It’s pretty funny the woman beating, pedophilia, and getting fired for racism didn’t tank him. It was his own goddamn tweets about race years after his firing. The fact is is that Cumia can be half watchable if he’s paired with funny people. Where did the funny people go? Jim hasn’t been on since 2021. Bennington hasn’t been on since 2018 and Anthony called him “sensitive” for not wanting to discuss tranny kids. Burr told him to his face he’d never work with him again. What is the common denominator in these decisions? These were far after his firing or DA case. It is purely about his tweeting, speaking that after 2018 is when Anthonys twitter got banned multiple times and with each new ban delved further into FN posting. (It’s clear Anthony has some sort of complex where the more he’s “censored” the more he lashes out.)

Its a domino effect and perfect for self obsessed creeps like Norton. Norton could ignore all the bullshit to go on his show. But once Bennington and Burr stopped it becomes a form of peer pressure. Sure, Nortons career won’t be damaged by associating with Cumia (i.e that he’d get “cancelled”) but it is a good possibility his friends would look at him weird. Especially because Ants racism went beyond talking about nondescript black people and went to hurling racist epithets at a friends black wife.

As has been stated…he just never fucking learns and he causes all of his own problems. I would think it’s sad if he weren’t human garbage. He’s one of these guys who’s deeply insecure but hides it by lashing out and pretending to not give a shit. You know he’s destroyed by Burr and the rest of them hating him. You know he’s destroyed by Jim not associating with him. Any rational human (4 years before all of this) would go “Fuck. I fucked up. I need to do everything in my power to repair these relationships.” But Anthony is just so…fucked up…that he can’t think like that. He just masks over it with anger and retaliation. “WELL FUCK YOU I DONT WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND ANYWAY YOU GUILTY WHITE LIBERAL!!”

Don't underestimate the extent that alcohol has played an integral part in his downfall. In fact his alcoholism might be the biggest culprit. You know what a hangover feels like. You're irritable, low energy, impulsive. They get worse the older you get. People like Anthony live their lives in that state. The idleness, the muddied thinking, the retreat from socialising other than getting hammered with other tosspots. It all stems from his serious drinking problem and helped lay the foundations for his mental and professional decline. I think one of the main reasons he's so angry is that he always feels like shit.

Gaining and then losing LOS was a pretty big deal too. That was before they all got obliterated on dabs every show and it was still mostly good.

They lost them for the dumbest reason too. If I remember correctly they wanted a bit more money and Keith told them they were no longer wanted. Luis also offered to run the network for Nana, who turned him down which led to the creation of GaS Digital.

It's not a bad concept, with O&A's audience being center right in general and right wing media expanding in 2014; Being like a right wing "Daily Show".

Except Nana is a High School Dropout, who has never written a research paper, and has no idea how to actually form an original thought. All he does is just parrot & regurgitate what he's heard with no original analysis. He thinks this rote memorization skill is the same thing as earned Bachelor's degree, and it sure impresses the dolts he hangs out with. He has no credibility as to why he should be respected at all from a socio-political perspective because since he loves stats so much, he's part of the 26% Americans without a High School diploma e.g. a dumb person.

Nana thought he was going to rent a studio, build a set, and give himself a "talk show". But, of course, Nana is a born second-banana who doesn't have the ability to host a "talk show", so he had to rely on guests. But, of course, he can't attract any real guests because he won't stop nigger-tweeting. So his "show" was pretty much Nana sitting there in a drunken stupor, free-associating about whatever came to mind. And because he is a dullard, not much did.

He probably would make more money if he scrapped the network and did Youtube (or a different place if he gets kicked off, not likely) livestreams alone. There would be no overhead and no staff to pay so it would be pure profit.
