Besides these and many other realizations (im sure), above all else, I hope going sober made him realize how awful and boring karaoke is.
DMCA, complaints, and other inquiries:
What was the maximum amount of subscribers that Compound Media had? Maybe 1000-1200?
Says it all that there's basically nothing of note to report in almost six years. Apart from his heart attack.Anthony had to have over 50K subs during his first month or two. Probably under 10K by the end of that year though. And under 5K or maybe even 1K after his domestic violence arrest. You have to remember that he was preparing for Compound Media during the last O&A contract and hoping to lure Jimmy to quit Sirius and leave Opie behind. When Jimmy told him that he was staying with Opie it killed pretty much all chances of Anthony having the momentum to succeed with his former co-host and boss. It also signaled to the entire O&A audience that neither Opie nor Jimmy believed in Anthony's new network and not to bother with it.
- July 2014, Anthony is fired from Sirius.
- August 2014, one month later, Anthony's show debuts on the Anthony Cumia Network.
- Anthony's show is four days a week, two hour a day, in late afternoons. Broadcast from his basement.
- September 2014, Opie and Jim announce that they have a new contract with Sirius. Neither will work with Anthony.
- Late 2014, Anthony begins putting commercials and infomercials in his show. Subscribers begin leaving in huge amounts in response.
- One of the infomercials is for some sex cream or viagra drug. Fans complain and Anthony lashes out at ungrateful 'losers.
- Colin Quinn spills a glass of coke on the table. This becomes the highlight of Anthony's entire network.
- April 2015, Opie and Anthony fight on Twitter and on air against each other. Opie says that Anthony is a liar and backstabber.
- Anthony goes on several rants against Opie saying that Anthony was the real talent behind the show and he will be bigger than O&A.
- Anthony begins talking with Norton about having him quit Sirius and work for him.
- October 2015, Anthony offers to allow Norton other shows and program on his Compound Network.
- December 2015, Anthony is arrested for domestic violence and has his guns confiscated.
- This causes practically every single subscriber to leave his network. His Compound Media venture arguably never recovers from this point.
- Anthony forced into rehab. Doesn't take rehab seriously. Alienates Jim Norton and most O&A fans. Opie goes radio silent.
- September 2016, Opie and Jim split up and do separate shows. Jim and Sam is formed.
- July 2017, Opie fired after Roland complains to Human Resources at Sirius. Anthony offers Opie half of Compound Media. Opie declines.
- August 2017, Compound Media announces that Artie Lange is joining. This announcement violates Artie's contract deliberately.
- Artie begins accusing Anthony and Keith behind their backs to other people of "ripping him off" and being "scumbags".
- September 2017, Artie Lange joins Compound Media.
- Artie shows up to Compound on drugs and doesn't take the show seriously. Clearly hates Anthony.
- December 2017, Artie arrested. Cannot make Compound Media gigs anymore. Anthony solo once again.
- May 2018, Artie fired. Yet another mass exodus on subscribers from Compound Media.
- February 2024, no sign of growth at Compound Media still. Anthony has lost his Long Island house. Can barely keep afloat.
Yep. Though, you forgot woman beating. That was the last straw for me.I think for that first year or two there were a lot more than that, *maybe* even enough that the place was profitable before the studio.
A whole lot of O&A fan subbed that first year believing the pitch that they were going to get a show similar to O&A of old and without the constraints of Sirius/etc. Plus there was Gavin and LoS. And having ESD there sort of made it look like they were bringing back the old team. And IHW was legitimately funny in the beginning when Aaron would do characters.
But it didn't take long for all of the talent to bail. For AntH's reputation/actions to drive away all of the guests. And for him to lazily morph the show into "Nana repeats what she heard on Fox News this morning"
And the remaining subs seem to be folks who actually found AntH because of his racism and blind Trump cheerleading. The O&A and comedy fans left long long ago.
Fuck you. You just reminded me i’m still paying for that goddamn membership yet haven’t gone in the last year.instead of blindly forgetting they were paying for it like a Planet Fitness membership?
No fucking way was it ever 50k. I don’t think O&A were topping 100k listeners during their last 2 years so that would mean over half of O&A listeners subbed to Anthony. Its just not possible. This would also mean from the first month alone Anthony pulled in $4 million dollars. Also not possible.Anthony had to have over 50K subs during his first month or two. Probably under 10K by the end of that year though. And under 5K or maybe even 1K after his domestic violence arrest.

And what Anthony forgets, and this is from Jims own mouth, JIM was the one who said “Why not call it Opie radio?” But of course “MY YIMMY” can never do anything wrong. As if he DIDN'T do that. In fact Anthony did it first, and Opie just approved Sirius doing it which at least a corporation believed in Opie Raqio. Only Anthony believed in TACN and even that he ended up changing soon after, indecisively.
Because Cumia is a waffling faggot. He criticized Opie countless times for “trying to stay in the limelight! YOURE 60! YOU CANT REINVENT YOURSELF AND JUST DO A NEW SHOW!”. Cumia having no self awareness genuinely thought he wasn’t doing that. But apparently now he realizes how pathetic this all is and has backtracked. “I’m not even doing a show! I’m just fucking around!” Yet charges people a subscription for a network…that’s not really how people just “winging it” operate. If he doesn't believe he's "doing a show", then why is his set literally set up like an old-timey talk show? As always, Nana can never take responsibility for anything, and always pretends that everything else is the real problem. He didn't put one iota of effort or thought into his gay podcast, it was obvious, and now it's fading into obscurity.
If Gavin was cutting checks, he'd dump Nana very quick, say what you want about how shitty of person Gavin is, Gavin shows up to work every day

A lying faggot, too. An unconvincing, mealy-mouthed liar. He has a show logo, show theme music, a show set littered with references to other shows, and it's CALLED "The Anthony Cumia Show". Yet he sits there, all withered and frail, and unconvincingly claims he never intended to do a "show" at all. This is another reason why everyone hates Nana so much, he thinks everyone else is a retard whom he can easily bullshit with his ridiculous lies. And what Anthony forgets, and this is from Jims own mouth, JIM was the one who said “Why not call it Opie radio?” But of course “MY YIMMY” can never do anything wrong.

The funniest part is how nothing happened over the last six years. And nothing really did.- August 2017, Compound Media announces that Artie Lange is joining. This announcement violates Artie's contract deliberately.
- Artie begins accusing Anthony and Keith behind their backs to other people of "ripping him off" and being "scumbags".

Eventually all these guys run out of shit to talk about. They spent years making so much money, they lose touch with reality and what made them successful in the first place- the ability to be relatable. None of them except it and ride into the sunset gracefully. They all end up yelling into a mic with no one listening. If he doesn't believe he's "doing a show", then why is his set literally set up like an old-timey talk show? Gaining and then losing LOS was a pretty big deal too. That was before they all got obliterated on dabs every show and it was still mostly good.Anthony had to have over 50K subs during his first month or two. Nana thought he was going to rent a studio, build a set, and give himself a "talk show". But, of course, Nana is a born second-banana who doesn't have the ability to host a "talk show", so he had to rely on guests. But, of course, he can't attract any real guests because he won't stop nigger-tweeting. So his "show" was pretty much Nana sitting there in a drunken stupor, free-associating about whatever came to mind. And because he is a dullard, not much did.Eventually all these guys run out of shit to talk about. They spent years making so much money, they lose touch with reality and what made them successful in the first place- the ability to be relatable. None of them except it and ride into the sunset gracefully. They all end up yelling into a mic with no one listening.
