Pat thinks the police call people constantly to give them a heads-up on open investigations. Also that they will say "you are not a suspect" before they've caught the actual person.

That's the one thing that gets me - when he says that he's been "cleared". They don't do that and it makes it sound very suspicious.

Police are allowed to lie. It's possible he is a suspect and the police told him otherwise so he would still talk and not lawyer up. Or, since Torswats is a federal case, it's out of the Milwaukee polices' hands, so they told him something like "We have no reason to think you're a suspect."

Unlike any of them, we respect the occupation of police officers. We respect them for the same reason we respect plumbers, electricians, builders, etc. Even if some of us have had bad experiences in the past, they provide an essential service to the community, they pay taxes, and they get up every day to do their job. We respect their occupation for the same reason we despise unemployed deadbeat parasites like Jackie Singh, Patrick Tomlinson, Shane Nokes, Ooga Booga, and that whole crowd that are societal dead weights, and actively try to ruin the lives and careers of innocent people.
