I'm just a technical administrator here. But that seems unlikely. If you look at the dates he would have been trying to settle around the time he was gambling in Vegas and tweeting that he was never gonna pay and didn't owe a thing.
That sounds like a clinically retarded thing to do on his part. It's going to be amazing when this fat chicken comes half-home to roost fatly.

I don’t get what there even is to settle in this case? Drop the subpoena and the lawyer fees stop racking up, that’s all there is to it. Why would Quasi accept less than full reimbursement for his fees? As far as I know he’s not going for anything more than just getting his costs covered, which he is entitled to by law.

the case is already over so what even is the point of the subpoena?

This is from traffic court but I'm pretty sure it's what you're looking for.

Nope, pretty sure it was from one of the CA cases when we were watching that dopey Asian guy in the earlier case. The Apostlegate videos start after all that.

It is in Fistful of Rupees I think if you mean where that chinese lady is saying "Yusuf Kumiyah do you need checking in?".
Somewhere like 5 minutes in.

Or at the start of For Few Rupees More where based Schulman doesnt let Phat Pat in.

It would have to, I think. What possible settlement could Patrick offer Quasi?
My first thought was a rusty trombone from Pat, and a go on Nikki's fartlocker.

Knowing Pat, though, he just offered Quasi the chase to surrender and to eat his own costs.

I'm just a technical administrator here. But that seems unlikely. If you look at the dates he would have been trying to settle around the time he was gambling in Vegas and tweeting that he was never gonna pay and didn't owe a thing.
I can't wait to hear Pat explaining the thought process behind that to a bankruptcy judge.

I wonder - if SFWA are funding the lolsuit, does that make them party to it? Can Quasi go after them for the rest of his money?

I wonder why not?

Quasi's entitled to his money back, the Pig has no assets, and Quasi wouldn't have had to spend that money if SFWA had kept their kid-touching snouts out of it.

Is there a law forbidding it, or a court precedent? Because I don't think Pat's going appear in order to fight the notion, if Quasi took it to court.

Otherwise you end up with plaintiffs who are judgement proof, with nothing to lose if they lose.

Because they aren’t part of the suit. Giving someone money doesn’t make you liable for what they do. It’s still Rick’s case, not theirs.
