I'm guessing the judge declined to hold Fatrick in contempt on account of the fact that they agreed to a settlement. If Quasi gets paid in full in a week, that's amazing. Has to be some dark money coming in.

Him going to jail today was a long shot to begin with...I was fully expecting him to get a month to come back with lawyers.

No, it wasn't; he was literally in contempt. I don't think a delay because of new lawyers would help either, as he was being accused of pulling delay tactics in the contempt motion.

My guess is the SFWA are footing the bill, and have offered to pay the debt.... I mean, Pat's offered to pay the debt, and quickly, too. That way they avoid a debtor's hearing which would give us insight into how much they paid/loaned him.

It's good news for Quasi, but leaves us short of ribs.
