Jackie was my favorite on the show not just for his writing but because his whole life was funny to goof on - his plugs, the junk he sold, crying about money, the jetty, his wife thinking she’s has a music career as the “Madonna of bayville” being a bitter drunk, his awful music, dead cat Timmy, owning 4 or 5 shitty houses, etc

I don't know any archive sites but anything on youtube gets taken down sooner or later. You still can find some stuff on torrents or bitchute but it's tough. I advice anyone to download anything they like. I had to wait like 2 years until the Belzer & Gilbert episode resurfaced again. There used to be a MEGA for all the TV stuff but that's gone too.

Even funnier he would do Seinfeld impressions on stage when they were starting out in the 80s before Seinfeld was known and Jerry would get all pissed. Gilbert would go on stage and make fun of one of the other comedians going on that night! Gilbert had balls and just didn’t give a shit.

I remember Howard once saying that other comics were afraid to smash him since he would just go berserk on them. They also once talked about how Gilbert was hired to do some gig for kids and was told to work clean but after bombing with his 30's movie references just reverted back to making cunt jokes and got thrown of stage in the middle of the gig. He really was the greatest.

That event was actually a concert for either the Go-Go’s or the Bangles, they had another comedian booked but they cancelled right before and they had to scramble to get someone else and they got Gilbert. They told him the audience was going to be majority young girls and their moms so he had to work clean. Of course little girls don’t like jokes from Gilbert so he just did cunt jokes and yelled cunt over and over. Fawkin legend.

Seriously. Howard Sterns show was better in almost every aspect and the idea that OnA weren’t ripping off Howard is hilarious.

Opie and Anthony tried to recreate the wackpack with their assorted retards. They tried to have this “behind the scenes” show going on with their interns like Howard did with Sal, John, Richard, etc. Hell, Anthony even sounds like Howard if you try to notice it. They copied getting pornstars and strippers on the show to do OUTRAGEOUS things! They disrespected celebrity guests and asked invasive questions.

The only thing Opie and Anthony did was make fun of each other. Howard seems to be about sitting back and letting other people fight. OnA seems to be about everyone fighting with each other and the hosts (save Opie) weren’t afraid to make fun of each other.

I’ve been listening to O&A for about 10 years now. I can name maybe 8 bits that are legendary in my mind. In the past month digging through Howard i could write a whole paragraph on all the funny shit i’ve seen.

It was pretty bizarre that they had such a big fight about whether or not Mike opened up a tv he won. Langford was funny but that drop was so fucking annoying and he only got that because he always kissed Howie’s ass.
