Seriously. Howard Sterns show was better in almost every aspect and the idea that OnA weren’t ripping off Howard is hilarious.

Opie and Anthony tried to recreate the wackpack with their assorted retards. They tried to have this “behind the scenes” show going on with their interns like Howard did with Sal, John, Richard, etc. Hell, Anthony even sounds like Howard if you try to notice it. They copied getting pornstars and strippers on the show to do OUTRAGEOUS things! They disrespected celebrity guests and asked invasive questions.

The only thing Opie and Anthony did was make fun of each other. Howard seems to be about sitting back and letting other people fight. OnA seems to be about everyone fighting with each other and the hosts (save Opie) weren’t afraid to make fun of each other.

I’ve been listening to O&A for about 10 years now. I can name maybe 8 bits that are legendary in my mind. In the past month digging through Howard i could write a whole paragraph on all the funny shit i’ve seen.

They were at their rock-bottom worst when they would try to out-sex Stern. The whiffle bat challenge, the 55 gallon drum challenge, the whore shooting bottle rockets from her clam...all just hacky, embarrassing shock-radio bits. Back when they were still doing afternoons the show was always the same. The first two hours would just feature them dicking around and being silly, then they'd start with the gay shock-jock foolishness.

Stern had a shitty sense of humor. He was great at creating in house drama, though. That’s why I never understood why they let Penny Crone go and kept Lisa G (great tits but awful reporter).

Langford was always awesome. With ETM but even more with Kelly Clarkson. Or whatever his name was.

The bbboys were only as good as their guests. Patrice usually was solid, Vos even though he’s basically a forum meme at this point, the worm as pathetic as he is now was a solid third mic and as long as porn stars weren’t involved was a good interview.

Stanhope, too. Colin, Norm, Louie. It really depended on the lineup. Schumer and Sherrod were consistent duds. I think that’s it.

Man, I could really go for a cold cut sandwich.

They blatantly stole the over the top sex shit and the “what would management say” drop from Howard but overall OnA was the better show when they had on great comedians. Stern had too much manufactured drama instead of just bullshitting about stuff. Fred is a closeted weirdo who is about as funny as a shoe box (play the ack ack drop again you fucking homo) and Robin was just there so Howard could say the n word even though he refuses to acknowledge that anymore. Benjy just sucked on air because he was always doing some weird cutesy bit. The show relied on Jackie or Artie and without them it’s just dog shit. He won’t even put Richard and Sal on the air anymore and they were responsible for about 40% of the best bits.

The reporter with the huge penis vs HPM was glorious. Honestly better than zero point zero and I’m being genuine here.

Going to HPM’s apartment and Mike admitting to some private self loathing about being Jewish was fucking hilarious. Almost better than HPM vs the baby gorilla.

Yeah I stopped listening regularly once the AGT bullshit strated, but kept up with Eric calls via EricTheBedHumper on YouTube.

Then Marcy was hired and things got even worse. Greg Karmel wasn't let go along with the Howard Tv crew and was hired as a writer/producer for the show. He has left since, don't know what he's up to.

At the same time I stopped listening to Stern, I found that JasonYeiter guy on YouTube that posted compilations of Owen and kind of got in to the staff fights, Scorch compilations and Vos/Blawby beatings. Seemed like a really try hard "shock&jock" type show at the same time it was so low effort. Like they just watched YouTube clips on air everyday.

I still listen to old Ron&Fez clips (WNEW era Billy Staples clips in particular) and old Stern clips along with he Eric and Brent sagas.

Found the old sub the day after I heard of Anth's twitter rant. The old sub and now this messageboard is better than any show. Yetaerdyas self doxxing being a prime example.
