That conversation happened last year, many years after the guy got banned from the Patrice benefit, which happened before Cumia ever took personal shots at Burr. You’re telling me Burr, who started on the show as a bum like Norton, didn’t know Anthony was a racist after doing a decade of radio with him?

It’s on par with DeRosa worrying about his “black friends” think of him even though he was/is legitimate friends with Cumia. Not one of these guys has the balls to just come out and say, “I like you man but I can’t be associated with you any longer because I might lose a gig in Hollywood.”

It was years of passive aggressively cutting the guy out for being the same nigger hater he was the entire time they knew him. But he, like Opie, lost the gig and become useless to these people.

Rogan is the only one with a little back bone out of any former guest.

This is completely different from how Ant thinks now. Ant used to he able to hide behind the whole “character” facade and while he was very obviously racist, hating Obama and thinking George Zimmerman was innocent weren’t radical thoughts in 2008-2013. A good portion of the population held these opinions and could be rationalized. Lets not forget Ant wasn’t assaulted randomly or for quoting crime statistics. He was assaulted because he was taking pictures of a black woman unbeknownst to her, a trait he regularly bragged about and does to this day. It’s another symptom of having no self awareness. He complains about how what he said wasn’t that bad, and ok even if it was, she deserved it! she assaulted me! Not realizing his mental spiral put himself in the position to where he was assaulted.

Some of you rewrite history with this. The only people that separated themselves from Anthony after his tweets was SiriusXM. Don’t forget. The early Compound shows still featured many of the O&A guests such as Burr, Colin, Bobby, Vos, Bennington, etc., with people like Amy Schumer coming out to defend him as well. It wasn’t until the domestic abuse case, the rehab fake out, and the downward trajectory of his mental state and career until people cut him off. DeRosa was really the only person to shirk off Ant after his firing, but quickly got bullied into supporting him again.

Burr even called into compound a few years ago to bury the hatchet and they did (same as Derosa) but of course Anthony had to go and trash his wife and he then told AntH face to face that he can’t work with him anymore. He has no one but himself to blame.

No, I am suspicious that burr is a hypocrite and said myself that it’s very unlikely that he didn’t know who Ant was while he was using the Opie and Anthony show to further his career. So I agree with you that if the Opie and Anthony show were still on, a lot of these guys would still be plugging their gigs on that show even if they knew what kind of person Anthony is. Because it’s hard for me to believe that they didn’t know. So they are full of shit, too. He said some really reprehensible things right in front of these guys on the air and they never called him out in a real way. Got to get those plugs in!

Everyone in this entire situation is a coward and a liar and a hypocrite.

I’m not saying that Bill is some great guy, I don’t like him. But at least, even if it took too long, he told Anthony that he didn’t want him around anymore to his face. Not on social media. To his face. That’s the limit of the credit I’m giving him.


These guys all talk about each other on their podcast, on their shows, and on social media. At least Bill broke it off to his face.

That’s the same credit I will give to Anthony for at least wanting to bury the hatchet with Bill Burr in person. At least he tried to talk face to face.

But that’s it. I’m not patting Bill on the back or saying he’s some superhero, at least he didn’t want to make some statement for attention on social media when he told Anthony to hit the bricks. Again, we would not have even known about that conversation if Anthony hadn’t told us. Bill at least tried to take care of his business with Anthony behind the scenes which, for this crowd, is a lot less gay then their normal operating procedure.

If someone talks shit about your significant other, and the very first words out of their mouth aren't "I'm so, so fucking sorry" they deserve to be punched in the face. Also, as a drunk, there were a lot of times when I was younger that I didn't think I started shit that I did start by saying something overboard or ignorant as a half-joke thinking I was "telling it like it is" or being "edgy" (as if normal people want "edgy" people around) and didn't even remember saying it until I was told. But at the time I somehow thought that me straight up insulting someone to their face wouldn't offend them. Anthony probably hasn't remembered what he actually said yet.

He probably stumbled over to the table, bumped into it, spilled a bunch of drinks and slurred out "so, so, so, so, so, so, I hate niggers. So what? You're white. You're White Guilt Billy. We can be friends again. I don't need to hang out with your family. Just come on my show. We can do a special episode where I don't even talk about niggers."

And that's when he was met with an annoyed "Dude! What the fuck?"
