If he skips the court-ordered Aug. 24 hearing, he's most likely to get 2 contempt charges (one for skipping the exam, one for skipping the hearing). The debtor's exam was court-ordered, but it wasn't an actual court hearing. It was to be held by a supplemental court commissioner at his legal firm office. This is a court hearing with an actual judge.

Blowing off a court-ordered action for Pat to complete (the exam) requires a hearing with a judge to find him in contempt. If Pat blows off the judge himself by skipping da court hearing, the judge can just find him in contempt himself right then and there and issue the warrant/fines/sanctions.
