That's how the first few episodes were, and they were hit-or-mostly-miss. Some people who were (still) hilarious on the Forums couldn't carry the funny over to the live format.

Awkward and clunky is being generous. To Dan's credit, he tried -- but he wasn't seaworthy enough to captain any ship.

Dan's, without question, one of the top contributors to LitCrit and I give him major respect for even attempting a show, but I don't think having funsters come in studio for a hang will reduce the ho-hum factor of NPS.

Not everyone who's a killer on the forums can carry that heat over to a live format.

Nope. I thought this ep would be a lot better. No, Dan didn't even recant the minute details of the hearing, what Pat was saying outside the courtroom to his lawyer, or anything else. Didn't fill out the stlaker Bingo Card either.

He just read the pro-se motion word-for-word, repeated the same shit funsters have been saying about Jackie for months, and then let Boomia ramble about nothing for the rest of it. Pat's GenCon panel was more exciting than this.

Dan's smart enough to realize that the best all-time NPS episodes (i.e. ones that aren't 100% complete fucking dogshit, few and far between) are the eps he's done w/ multiple people, which are the only ones he reposts (Josiah interview, BDA, etc., etc.), but he learns absolutely nothing from it.

@Sue Lightning's right that he will never change shit but I'm going to be an optimist for the time being until Dan does something really gay again (which happens every time this flaccid forum starts liking him).
