I think when it comes to these cons they are so desperate any guests they keep letting him do panels. They have him - a man that barely finished high school and didn’t graduate college - giving lectures on science and technology. They can’t even get anyone with real credentials to do these events. I think they’ve already given up on the convention hashtag, it’s all people posting Pat’s arrest report and disgusting quotes from the pig man.

Not sure but that makes sense, that’s pretty much how all these conventions work. They pay for a table but it’s a spot to sell their stuff so they can make it all back and profit whatever was made after the cost of the table.

Looking at the registration, presenters still need to pay, though it's less than regular people. Looks like it was 80 bucks for a badge for the general public and 25 bucks for presenters. So he got a $55 discount to donate a few hours of his time. For most people, their time is worth more than that. For Rick, it's righteous bucks.
