You can never take as much as a chain store steals from you in the first place.
perfect jump-off for a good point:

People who say 'other customers pay for the stuff that's stolen by increased prices' are full of shit. Supermarkets have a fiduciary responsibility to shareholders to make as much money as possible, they have whole departments allocated to optimising prices, they would charge you $10 for a loaf of bread if they could. The idea that if nobody stole anything then things would be cheaper is a fallacy, they'd still charge whatever the focus group agrees. They do have discounted 'lead items'(?) which get people into the store, knowing most will buy other profitable stuff too.

This only applies to big corporations, if you steal from a small business (like a vape store) you should have ur balls kicked-in.

This "lawyer" wearing makeup and trying to make herself look 10 years younger is full of shit.

In San Francisco right now niggers can steal up to $980 or something like that and not be charged with anything.

We don't all live in San Francisco, but if you're just using self checkout to buy groceries and you forget to scan bananas and they figure that out later, they aren't going to do shit.

Who uses self checkout to buy a product over $200? No one. And even so, that's not enough to be a felony.

The store would have to have the video and has burden of proof and it has to be enough to be worth their while to sue. So unless you're doing it a ton, you have nothing to worry about.

This is just PR for the lawyer chick.

The add-on to this is when farms say that Americans won't do the work so they bring in illegals to pick lettuce.

I guarantee if you paid Americans $50/hr they would be out there picking lettuce.

What they are really saying is that they don't want to pay what Americans would expect. So they bring in illegals. Because we're in a "free market" or something.
