It's tough in the desert man. Got our first indoor plant to last for over a year so pretty happy about that. I know several are supposed to be easy but it's only finally started working since I've been leaving the water canister full and not filling it right before I water. Pulled off a bunch of little buddies recently and have four propagating for other parts of the house.

I've wanted to do indoor microgreens. I used to grow pot pants, mushrooms, poppies, peppers, potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, etc. All that shit. Too fuckin lazy these days.
build a small hydro system Its easy and low maintenance, harvest every 7 days.
with vertical stacking, per square foot the yields outprice ganga with 10% of the power consumption.
A 2x4x8 tent would provide in excess for a family of four and can sit in a basement/garage fine.

Gardening and landscaping is cool because it's hard to catastrophically fuck something up permanently/expensively. Most of the time if you mess up, you can just throw dirt on it or the shit will regrow. Infinitely more satisfying and less stressful than even the most basic home repairs I've done, which always end with me sweating and frustrated and making a half dozen trips to Home Depot.
