I mostly go to the farmers market now. At the store I pay extra for organic shit, pasture raised, grass fed, etc.

It’s not even that much more expensive, in fact where I am it’s the same or cheaper than the large stores.

I think people are just too lazy / addicted to junk food that they pretend they can only afford frozen pizzas.

It’s the same with saying they don’t have time to cook, when it takes the same time to prepare simple healthy meals as it does just heating up tv dinners.

I take my nephew to soccer games, and we build models together, and I go to concerts with my niece and teach her guitar.

They are good kids, I play fortnite with my nephew sometimes but it’s a treat, they don’t live on iPads and games and screens, they are active and do things.

My friend brags about how many hours in games his kids have. It’s insane.

Golf, although it’s definitely an investment. It’s not cheap by any means and it’s a huge time commitment to finally hit the ball consistently but it’s incredibly gratifying once you start to see improvements in your game.

During the summer, I play multiple times a week, usually by myself or with a complete rando. If I’m by myself, I’ll put on the latest episode of NPS or an old O&A and loff and loff and loff as I hack all over the course. It’s incredible

Really the reason people go to grocery stores is so they can pretend to buy "healthy meat and vegetables" while actually being there to pick up junk food and soda.

I like buying old and broken gear and restoring it, usually synths. Working on another minikorg 700s right now with some broken keys and a couple broken connections ^_^

I do that with old audio gear. I have such a stockpile now that I only play with nakamichi decks and McIntosh amps All the stuff I’d never use in my house I just sell or trade for cool old speakers.
