The investigation is ongoing, why? The police know what they’re trying to pull and just need the evidence of them doing it themselves.

In the meantime, they respond to the calls in the most polite way possible, because they know if someone loses their temper with them they will go POLICE BRUTALITY! Because that’s what they’re trying to get them to do.

You could 100% throw together lib buzzwords to craft why Patrick isn’t important. Example…

You know the fact that this white man gets so many news appearances for welfare checks, while black people are unfairly profiled and terrorized by police, speaks to the level of white privilege he holds. As always, news outlets will put white people sob stories on pedestal's while POC’s face even worse discrimination in silence. White people can identify with someone who looks like them and their sob story, but if a black person told this story there would always be the excuse of “well what did he do wrong?”. Furthermore, the almost instantaneous response time of the police, to fake calls no less, shows that the polices urgency is only applied to white people. Often a black person will call the police and have them show up an hour or two later, often ready to confront the victim caller as an aggressor simply for being black. A further contrast also appears in Patricks response to the police. He lunges at the cops, berates them, etc. Even during his ensuing temper tantrum the police act extremely respectful to him. If a POC were put in this scenario, they would be hauled into a cop car, or killed, after the first “fuck you”.
