That depends on if the charges have evidence to back them and if the sentence was constrained to those charges. If they want to charge Clinton for bad checks because he signed them, fine. But don’t give him 25 years for it because thats obviously not right, and obviously trying to make up for the rape shit.

I will bend the knee however on one point: The prosecution very obviously went into this guessing the underlying crime. In their opening statement it was more focused on “election influence” (??? So vague), then it became the election law shit, which is way more evident, but it’s obviously a means to an end. The easier and clean case is just saying he falsified the business records by labelling it as a retainer. Thats basically indisputable. But those are misdemeanors and result in fines. So they finagled it into a felony which, even if it IS a felony, I think its obvious why they did that. (Results in jail time)
