Is the Judge pro tem going to make a recommendation for the actual judge? If so, will the actual judge decide if he accepts or rejects it? Is it common for the judge to reject a judge pro tems recommendation?

Patrick voluntarily went on a podcast, and volunteered this information without any sort of deception from the "stlakers". Surely his own words point to an organization funding the lawsuit, common sense (or whatever you'd legally call that) dictates it's probably SFWA, which is why Jen wants to subpoena their finances related to Pat.

Actually Japs hate Korean's because they destroyed them as a precursor to WWII and now Korean's won't shut the fuck up about it and and demand reparations from the Japanese government to this day. They consider Chinks to be subhuman which is funny cause they don't really look all that different.

To this day, if your grandparents were Korean you're considered a foreigner in Japan even if both of your parents and you were born there. They really can't accept it.

He believed the whole right wing thing and took the opposing person's word that the Petitioner was "proven to has been harassing the SFWA". There was no evidence given , just speculation, but that's my take.

It was a long shot, but they happened to get the right judge. Unfortunately for them it happened to be just the practice judge, so we'll see how the real judge responds.

2. The SFWA got upset about it, released several public statements about fighting this.

Not sure about the chinks to be honest. When WWII ended America camped out in Japan, wrote them a new constitution, banned all the marijuana (ironically you'll do years in prison for possession now and the TV there equates it to using heroin while we are getting ever closer to totally legalizing it) and pretty much decided everything for them. Japan has been a non-combative ally ever since. Still a ton of US troops in several bases in Japan who frequently rape the locals and get away with it.

He set up an impossible standard to overcome. He wants them to prove they have specific documents. The only people who can prove that are the people who quashed the subpoena, so that won't even happen.

It's funny you mention that. I remember watching something on YouTube where the hardcore nationalist guys were basically confessing to going into Fukushima and murdering Chinks and obviously nothing was done about it. It really is a bizarre place that just doesn't make any kind of sense unless you spend a lot of time there and just learn to accept it.

I mean, look at him. He got dressed up in his best sweater and bowtie but is so far up his own ass that he didn't bother to hang a fucking curtain behind him or use a zoom background so we have to see his pathetic studio/dorm apartment in the background. He probably has to walk down the hall to shower and shit.

I'm sure part of his job is to anticipate any objections by an actual judge and vigorously attempt to poke holes in the case, but he's also supposed to accept reasonable arguments. He's a pathetic training wheels judge that shares a communal kitchenette with strangers. It's overcompensation.

By the way, I base this opinion solely on the one still image of him in this thread, so I could be wrong because I didn't watch the hearing.

Again 16 don't know dick, but it seems to be the biggest issue is the failure to connect Patrick to the SFWA, which I haven't really seen Jerry make except loosely. Someone made an analogy that it was like suing Disney+ to get his subscriber information, you're not going to get Disney to hand it over without establishing why it's relevant.

Jerry hasn't put "we think SFWA might have funded Patrick's lawsuit" into legal writing, and the superlawyer is doing a good job playing dumb, shrugging his shoulders, and giving the ol' I dunno what we have to do with all this! You can't be a Stavros in court and argue the other party needs to hand over information because you want it. You have to establish the why.
