He might be trying to get that sweet pubic sector loan forgiveness

I'd have to look up who passed that bill , but unlike biden's/dems LETS JUST FORGIVE ALL STUDENT LOANS, this seems like a good way to do it. You get smart talented people working government positions that they otherwise wouldn't have done. They could be making way more in the private sector.
George W Bush signed it into law but it was passed by a Democrat house and senate, at a time when the Democrats were still much more “Republican” (also signed into law in 2007…consider not only the contexts of those times from the incoming economic recession to the general culture, wages, and economic conditions.)

It’s corny, but extreme times call for extreme measures. The idea of wiping student debts out entirely with very low qualifications would have been laughed at in the congress of the 2000’s. But it’s extremely clear from what i remember reading about it: Cancelling student debts entirely benefits the economy and society quicker. You can argue that putting people to work (or incentivizing work in the government sectors) increases the economy as well. The argument is that it’s not as direct, and student debts are too big for people to become teachers or DMV clerks for 10 years just to get their debts paid off. Furthermore, I remember in high school a lot of my teachers freaking out that if Trump were elected he would repeal the program entirely. Would it happen? Who knows, but the idea that it can immediately makes the purpose it’s supposed to be null: Why work for 10 years as say, a teacher, when you don’t know if the next guy in 4 years will make that work for nothing?

It truly is, to me, an investment in our country and our people more than any other “welfare” thing we could do. These aren’t lazy bums, they’re people who went to school for years. Their “crime” is agreeing into (necessary) overpriced loans with compounding interest rates.

It's perfect that they chose today to publish that ridiculous bullshit article on a day that no one gives a shit because everyone is only reading about the Tucker Carlson/Putin interview, the Special Counsel report confirming Joe Biden has dementia and is unfit to serve as POTUS, and Super Bowl stuff.
No one even reads articles anymore, much less remembers what they read yesterday. Wasn’t his story featured on 60 minutes or something? No one gave a shit then and no one gives a shit now.

The MPD is not going to do something stupid at this point. We live in a world where everything cops do is under a microscope because the MSM is pushing a smear campaign against them. They’re not going to rough him up like it’s the 70s, especially when they know he’s a sue happy jackoff trying to make money. They’re going to keep dropping business cards in his mailbox and telling him to have a nice day.

Nice picture from 100 pounds ago, stupid.

They got useless fucking degrees in shit like Ethnic Studies, Women's Studies, and Art History and expect hardworking taxpayers to foot the bill. Fuck them. Learn a trade. The world needs ditch diggers, too.

So if they wipe out student debt then they should end all government student loan programs right? I agree, great idea.

Yeah but some of them didn’t. Some of them are working “high class” jobs (not like doctor or anything) and still weighed down by the debt. Again, you’re talking almost 200,000$+ for 4 years of some schools. How many people are making salaries of 100k after they get out of college?

But I don’t want to make this into a whole separate thing. Economics etc…
Fuck them. Learn a trade. The world needs ditch diggers, too.
And to sum this all up, yeah I agree. Too many people going to college with no purpose etc etc…incentives for people to start businesses or get good jobs without college etc etc…

Edit: I’m not gonna shit up the thread with another comment so i’ll just tack this on

I’m not talking about some blanket relief for EVERYONE for ALL of their money. I am being general. And obviously the main focus is not some bandaid of relief but incentivizing non-college jobs and getting the predatory loans under control and fixing our dollar and society etc etc….its obviously a very difficult situation

The whole reason college costs exploded was because student loans were guaranteed by .gov so I actually think it’s an EASY FIX.

You know who doesn’t understand student loans? Patrick S Tomlinson. Speaking of which, I didn’t read the article.l because I’ve heard this exact story 100 other times. Fucking yawn, Pat. Come up with new material

And college costs didn't really explode that much for every school. The place I went was $6500/year 20 years ago. Looked it up for this year: $9000.

i hate when they characterize the sub era as right wing. most posters back then were libs, especially when ant and joe were the main attraction. marma claimed he was leaving a lot of his money and assets to liberal type charities and was commemorated for that and flat out racism that didn't have a punch line would be downvoted and people would call you retarded.

that's at least part of the reason no one wanted the mde fags posting, because it wasn't 4chan. can these journos ever do the MINIMUM of their job
