Holy shit, I was right! Ive worked in auto sales off and on for decades I knew Pats auto sales career had to be short and sure enough he didn’t even make it 3 months. Auto sales require effort and most guys that come in thinking they know everything but are lazy are gone before their 3rd month. One high volume dealership I worked the senior sales staff wouldn’t even acknowledge me until I had made it past 3 months because of the high turnover of dopes like Pat. Those senior guys told me it wasn’t worth their time to even know my name unless I made it 3 months. Pat didn’t sell that GT like he claims, they don’t give that high ticket sale to a dumb rookie, he saw someone else sell just it. Also funny he claims he was such a great sales person yet didn’t even go to another dealership which also shows he was shit. He sold cars for 2 months then quit because he wasn’t selling and bringing in zero money. You don’t sell a GT for 200k then never sell again, he watched some pro sell it while he sat with a big zero for sales on that months dealership sales count.
With a special 200k car NO DEALERSHIP would let some 2 month rookie take it because they would fuck up delivery on a huge sale. That’s probably why he quit (other than not selling cars) because he met a customer at the door/on the lot who wanted and could buy a GT and the dealership told piggy to fuck off once it was a deal and gave it to a senior / experienced sales person to ensure everything went smooth. I’ve worked places where pro sports stars bought and they would have the top sales guys / sales manager / finance manager / sometimes even store GM handle the sale and delivery so every goes perfect. No place selling a 200k car would trust the sale and delivery to some dope that just started selling cars. I really think that’s why he stopped selling cars and never did it again, he got put in his place as a nobody and it made him run out crying.
