Yes, it's literally - LITERALLY - a remake of 80s slasher movies. That's the entire point. If you're going in looking for something new, you'll be disappointed. It's a $100k budget.
It's not supposed to be for Gen X or boomers. It was meant for zoomers who aren't familiar with Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, etc. And fuck me, it's worked. They're making money off this trash. So good for them.
