So the cop was in a hurry to drop his welfare check note in Rick's mailbox and get back to protecting the city from niggers. Seems like he's doing his job well.

He probably saw bodycam footage of an officer driving to his house to write a note and overdramatized it for some reason that makes sense to him. I can picture "Sabotage" playing as officer Petersen blasts through red lights and narrowly avoids innocent kindergarteners, his mind only fixated on getting to Patrick's house as soon as possible so he could leave a note.
I can only assume his lawyers have gotten dashcam footage they didn't have before. It's starting to look like MPD has some real retards working for them, even by general cop standards.
The MPD should not agree to this. We've done more legwork investigating Rick than they have, so if they're smart they will insist this be made public for our consumption.

The argument is that this situation (a dude getting swatted 50 times) is unprecedented and not likely to happen again.
I don't know if it will matter or not? But the recording that torswats posted wasn't a call to the MPD, it was a veterans crisis line and they notified the police. That little psycho had to get creative because direct calls weren't working anymore. Seems fucked up that Rick might get paid even though the police only showed up a handful of times and the person making the calls went way above and beyond in order to make that happen. Torswats gets sentenced next month and hopefully we get to find out more info on who he admitted to swatting.
It's very troubling that Pat hasn't publicly given his opinion on the matter, considering whatever he'd state, the opposite would come true.
His case is just about one place in Florida. Other shit around the country isn’t going to show up.

Remember they also have to qualified immunity trump card.
I assume most if not all the named individuals will be cleared by that alone.
Whether the city itself ends up paying out, I have no idea.
But again, it's important to remember what type of precedent this would set if Rick wins - which is why I think they could settle quickly to avoid that risk altogether.
The wild card here is Rick and his pigheadedness - as others have mentioned, he knows neither when to hold em or fold em, nor when to walk away or run. He could be offered a settlement and insist it go to trial anyway so he can be heard. That would be catastrophic for him and I imagine his lawyers know that by now.
