Besides that one answer in response to Plaintiffs that Pig was drunk and rude to the officers, they have presented nothing. They've responded to Plaintiffs claims confirm/denying and other than those one-word answers have NEVER argued ANYTHING to judge of why Pig is full of shit. Instead of disemboweling Pig's ridiculous claims and exposing how he disregarded all advice, had insane tantrums at cops, never tried to work out a system with the MPD, and was likely involved in placing the calls himself, they've just said "no u" & "qualified immunity" and not a peep else.

Both the joint briefs to the judge were OBVIOUSLY written by Odell. Not only did the city attorneys let him get away with such biased language, but serial loser Hotchkiss filed the first, more horrendous one in his name despite clearly not writing it. Hats off to Team Pig for pulling a fast one here. They managed to turn yet another boring joint extension request into a 3-page ramble about how terrible MPD is and how Pat should be given a huge judgement and made the MPD/City's lawyer file it. The judge is going to see this as the city agreeing that Plaintiff's claims have merit. Frankly, why wouldn't he!? The city has let Pig's lawyers run the show this entire suit with no pushback.

Based on these motions it looks like the city's goal here is to merely save the individual MPD officers from legal action and then give Ricky a fat chunk of change. Reminder to all that Maria Mesoloras has zero experience (was a public defender her whole career until a year ago) and, more glarily, William Hotchkiss has represented the city in several prior lawsuits concerning MPD actions and every single one of them has ended in a settlement. This includes several where Odell was representing the plaintiffs. Milwaukee is nigger city and politicians would rather just give pig some tax money (it's not like it's theirs they're burning) than dedicate any resources to fighting. It is what it is.

From the latest briefings, it looks like they're combing over the emails and bodycam footage. They have access to all this privileged information, they're sending investigators to dig up Pepperonigate. I believe (hope) they're playing their cards close, knowing a jury trial would wreck Pat no matter who they get.

Are you including your current hysterical rant about how the MPD police lawyers aren't doing their job? Calm down. It's not their job at this juncture to argue any of Pat's idiotic points. But also, as I quoted above:

Defendants will cross-move for summary judgment on all claims. Defendants will argue the searches and seizures were all justified by exigent circumstances or consent. Defendants will argue that even if the searches were not justified, the individual officers are protected by qualified immunity.

Defendants will argue that, since there were no constitutional violations here, there can be no Monell liability. And even if there was a constitutional violation, there was no policy or practice of the City that was the driving force of those violations.

This above is likely what will happen. Remember when everyone freaked out about quasi's lawyers and said they weren't doing their jobs, then they slam dunked Pat's lawyers into the trash can? Patience. Pat's flimsy case will get toss eventually.

The main difference is that quasi's lawyers were paid to win the case and have their firm's reputation to worry about, whereas the MPD's attorneys are government employees who get to decide whether they want to do their job or write a check using other peoples' money.

There is however the fallback on this of Pat's lawyers are playing for their payout not his. so if their contingency is 33% of say 100k and they know they've hit a 50k threshold of expenses they just might be happy to fold. There's mark on expenses. They're pocketing 20k of that 50k plus the 33k and possibly maybe up to 45k of 100k settlement as the contingency and getting the W on their ledger. Pig goes home with 8-17k.They are not settling this for 250k or more they would have just stopped going to his house. They knew what they werfe doing going there. Even I have to agree with Pat on that one.
