Those policies may be not releasing information related to open cases or even commenting if a case is open.

I don’t know, but that’s how I read it. I didn’t understand it as “we’ve looked for this information and we can’t give any so it doesn’t exist” which seems silly.

These seem like reasonable conclusions and I don't see why, if they're arguing that, they would settle with Pat for any other reason besides just getting the case over with (for a small amount that would not even cover Pig's legal fees).

Rick is white, with no physical harm or property damage. He has a history of taking everyone to court who makes him feel bad. The cops did their job and Rick has lied about the responses.
