Question for Catholics

I went to a Catholic funeral today and the congregation had the service memorised it seemed. They knew when to sit when to stand when to kneel all the words etc. Do they teach this from a young age or is every funeral the same and they just memorise it? And is it the same in every church?

When I used to go to church you'd just follow the leaders. The priest would say something, people would start moving and you'd just copy them.

My wife's a Catholic and has a large family, so I've been to a few Papist weddings and funerals over the years. Yes, it's standard, and more often than not you can see the priest (a clear as day faggot 50% of the time) really enjoying the power he has over the room.
