When I used to go to church you'd just follow the leaders. The priest would say something, people would start moving and you'd just copy them.
Yeah, it's like at any Catholic mass. Very organized and by rote.
My wife's a Catholic and has a large family, so I've been to a few Papist weddings and funerals over the years. Yes, it's standard, and more often than not you can see the priest (a clear as day faggot 50% of the time) really enjoying the power he has over the room.
Yes and in my opinion it is what lends to it being on the more boring side compared to some of the other denominations of church I’ve been to. You walk in knowing you’re basically locked in for an hour and it’s just roughly reading reading song reading closing.
Non catholic ones I’ve been too have been a little more “free form” and it doesn’t feel as boring imo.
Yeah it's the same. went to church twice a week in numerous different spots 'til I was (fawkin') 18. There's usually some sermon related to something that's happened in the news and how it relates to God or whatever and then the last 30-45 are a boilerplate set of words, standing sitting communion etc. In the States the words are different but the whole procession is the same.
Thanks. I didn’t hate it, pretty good service if you want to keep a stiff upper lip.
