I’m not sure why he’d want to take the $7k and stay in Nigeria when he could have a free trip to the US and get his ass kissed for a week and try to find some fat nerd to marry for a green card. I’m inclined to believe him in this case. The potential for grifting is greater if he makes the trip.

7k USD in Nigeria is significant, he can play the victim and keep the grift going.
If he ever intended to go he’d start the ball rolling very early. He didn’t just get denied days before the event.
Plus, actually being there using his grifted funds runs the risk of being found out for being an Amazon shyster who can’t actually write or articulate his talent.

You might be right but I still think going there in person would help his grifting cause and gets him out of shithole Nigeria for a while. And they accept Tomlinson so obviously the bar isn’t very high for talent. And he’s a white hetero male, supposedly.

I’ve seen some reports on Nigerian scammers who string older white single women along asking for money over and over yet when it’s time to meet something comes up but they still need money. The older women think this is their boyfriend and send all kinds of money / gifts but can never meet because of whatever excuse. Same thing here, he can sit at home and cry for money and these types will send it no questions asked. These types tell you BLM does all kinds of important things yet can’t name one actual thing and don’t dare to look up that the people in charge of BLM got very rich doing nothing for black lives.
