Well Opie at least admits his role in the show falling apart and takes responsibility for his part in the diva antics. He's also right that a reunion would never work because Ant has chosen to die on the hill of F/Ns.

To be fair to the BROTHAMAN Opie has always been pretty honest about his role in the falling out. He had issues that he acknowledged, worked on, and fixed. Sometimes they showed their face but he tried to be self aware. He knew him and Ant were growing apart and unfairly took it out on his girlfriend. I really don’t know what more Ant ballwashers want from him other than saying “I SUCKED ON O&A AND CONTRIBUTED NOTHING, HAIL ANTHONY!” which isn’t true in the slightest and he doesn’t believe it because he knows this is the case. Anthony mean while hasn’t taken responsibility for ANYTHING:

The show ended in 2014. JRE started his podcast five years earlier, Burr was already a star, Patrice was dead and CK was giving them infrequent visits in between hit TV shows, GQ magazine cover appearances and directing movies.

You’re making up a dream scenario where either of these idiots had the foresight to make a podcast network around 2008-2009, which simply wasn’t going to happen. They had no buzz, their star was significantly faded by the time Anthony started in on his Obama/Zimmerman/Guns routine.

Blaming Cumia’s frothing at the mouth racism for them not starting a hypothetical podcast network that could make them both nine figures is an insane argument, which is what I was addressing. It was ever going to happen because you’re talking about two guys who let Steve C hold their content hostage on a greasy porn site because they were two lazy to host it themselves.

Bob Kelley was at the forefront of podcasting and I don't think he's made all that much money from it. I don't think o&a had the business acumen to succeed where Bobby failed. Any o&a podcast network would have wound up looking like compound media.

Best case scenario for them was to stay at Sirius and re-sign each few years for less money as they run out the clock. Also would have spared us from Geno Bisconte.

Wrong. Their real chance would have bee signing Rogan and Burr to their channel and owning their own production company for radio shows. Imagine if O&A Productions signed the deal with Spotify to bring Rogan, Burr, Bobby, and even stupid garbage like the Chip Chipperson Show to people. They could have their own corner of the entire comedy landscape through easy to make podcasts including the largest one, Rogan's being their primary show.

They could have produced every major comedy podcast and had their own network if they had some initiative. Stern could have done this as well. They tried to sign Rogan and Sirius rejected it. Sirius also told them not to make the O&A podcast so that company was ran by idiots. O&A easily could have their own network if top comedians but Anthony is an old drunk incapable of anything and Opie seems delusional and completely checked out of reality.

It's an interesting what if but as others have pointed out it would require a shit ton of work that neither Ope or Ant would have wanted to do even for a possible 8-9 figure return.

More realistic would've been a network not unlike Compound Media but instead of Anthony being the lead it would've been O&A, they might have generated enough income with it to get another ageing radio guy (Artie maybe?) but it probably would've been a place for people that other places don't want for whatever reason.

Not being critical of it either, I'd probably subscribe to a network that had Opie & Anthony plus an Artie Lange hosted show but it wouldn't have set the world on fire.

In regards to them uniting in 2023 or 2024 I'm not so sure that would happen after all the shit and if it did how good would it actually be? I listen to the Opie podcast every now and then and the only time he has something interesting to say is when he talks about the old days, I don't watch Anthony ever as I'm not subscribed but on the free stuff I've seen it is pretty much references from the 60s and 70s and the only time he has something interesting to say is when he talks about the old days.

Even if they did get together do any of us here want to hear him ranting about blacks whilst Opie awkwardly sits there? Is Opie going to be able to stomach Nana's celebratory tweets when children die? No chance.

And Stern loathed anything that Grillo did beyond microwaving a potato for him. Grillo once auditioned for The Sopranos and got the part. He is the guy in the pizza parlor who gets his food thrown on the floor by Jackie Jr. and his friends. He never once used Howard's name and literally got it entirely on his own. He was working on The Sopranos in the background the first two seasons and that's how he got the audition. And all Howard and everyone on the show did was shit on him for being on The Sopranos and call him a loser.

Artie Lange once did an appearance on Conan and Howard shit all over him and Conan the next day. And Artie went right after Howard and mocked him back. And Howard basically threatened to fire Artie by calling him a "temporary replacement for Jackie" as if Artie didn't get in line he would be gone. The argument was that Artie wanted to play clips from the show on Conan and Howard called his agent to send a cease and desist before the taping of the show. And Artie knew that Howard did it behind his back and had it out with Howard on the air.

If Ant wasn't obsessed with niggers they could probably work out a deal with a platform like Rumble. Maybe even Daily Wire if they want something edgy/humorous and not completely political.
