I read the camp of the saints almost 20 years ago now. The cargo barges full of migrants he got right but he really didn't hone in on the forces that enabled it beyond surface level sketches of 'May 68' riots and generalized 70s lib faggots. He also had a thing for Indians that makes it seem dated given the origin of the current migrants. Looking back now he predicted and portrayed the results without putting the ' ' 'root' ' ' cause under the microscope
haven't re-read but it's basically a piece of 20th century canon at this point and is just going to be referenced more and more as the years go on so it's definitely worth reading even if you don't care just to get a sense of the era/context
