Mooing About Grocery Prices..Again

The amount of people who don't understand that if you want good meat you go to a fucking butcher, not a supermarket, is insane.
I must be insane. In my experience the butcher is getting his cryovac sub primals from the same places and doing the same thing as a good supermarket. Sure, he'll cut to order, but any decent supermarket will do the same.

Black Angus, certified Angus, prime cuts can all be had at a good supermarket, cut to your specs, for half the price.

Maybe dry aging? I guess I've never seen an actual supermarket do that. Or better variety?

Your guys packaged tomato sauce over there is fucking sugar, with some tomato thrown in. I've looked into the ingredients and they're disgusting.

Legitimate, real tomato sauce is incredible. I'm sure you can buy that in your country, but you probably play Uncle Giuseppe prices. Which is a fucking shame.

You shouldn't have to kill yourself for decent food.
Depends on what you buy. Just looking at the Hunt's canned sauce I use in sauces or stews, it's about 14g of sugar per can at $2 a piece.

As a side note I hate how you can't get a good flavorful tomato at any store. I feel like I was spoiled by my family having a decent sized vegetable garden growing up, so tomatoes, green beans, corn, spinach, peppers, all that shit just doesn't ever measure up when you buy it. Maybe at a farmer's market, but I'm too poor for that.

There's a huge difference between store bought and home grown tomatoes! I guess they pick them when they're still green. Fawking love a BLT with my tomatoes. #Ruizing

And that's the thing, the over processing, the cut corners, it just ruins food.

I miss my mother's homemade sandwiches. I don't even care what was on it - it was all good. And the vegetables were superb.

How can you fucking hate all vegetables? Those people exist! No greens? No beans? Nothing?

THEY'RE NOT.... PEOPLE!
