The highly educated are more susceptible to indoctrination. They're used to listening to authority and derive their self-worth from being told they're correct.
Absolutely, they are the "highly socialized" noncritical thinkers laid out in good detail in one of Uncle Ted's books. Not only were they gently led intellectually but on a personal level (aligning their thoughts, feelings, and attitudes) according to the controlling whims of the system.
