I bought a PS5 for some reason-are there any good games?

I haven’t owned a video game system in a few years now so I’m okay with just playing anything decent. Definitely the worst launch ever as far as exclusives go.
Also as far as the console itself went. It was basically impossible to buy at retail price for 2 full years. I feel like a retard for letting that make me think it was special. I bought one last year and ended up selling it after about 6 months because I realized I could do everything on my low end PC already, just with worse graphics which I don’t care about.

and the draw distance fog. why the hell am I able to see the in-game version of las vegas from the in-game version of l.a? lotta fawkin problems with those demasters
Yeah. Seeing the entire map from everywhere is very off putting because you can see it's just a giant square, funster.

These rascals don't understand atmospheric haze.

Uncharted 4 and the new dlc.

All tomb raiders released since 2013.

GTA V

Titanfall 2

Mafia Definitive Edition

Last of Us: Part 1

Idk if you have played any of these already.
I also haven't owned a console in 10+ years until recently. Got a PS5 and paid for Plus. Mafia 2 is "free", and turns out to be a good little game. That made me look up Mafia 3 yesterday and got the definitive edition for 10 bucks. I like it so far.

I'm really wanting a boxing game, but it looks like that Creed game is the only realistic looking one out there.

and it wasn't just the orange haze they removed, either; every area in the original had its own distinct atmosphere. los santos had that '90s hood movie orange haze, the country side was more foggy, san fierro was more overcast and rainy, and the desert/las venturas had a distinctly blue and purple look at night. then the "remaster" comes along and replaces all of that with one blank, indistinct atmosphere across the entire map. yuck

My buddy was lucky enough to get one right when it came out and we just used it to play NHL for two years straight.

Death Stranding, Elden Ring, Monster Hunter World, Monster Hunter Rise. The PS5 controller is extremely fragile btw so make sure to take good care of it because there aren’t cheaper third party alternatives and they cost more than a new game. I only play PC these days but if I had to go back to console I’d get an Xbox mostly because of the controller situation and it’s half the price.
Is Death Stranding worth it? I picked it up on one of the epic games free promos but it felt like it would be a boring game when I started it but I could be wrong.

The Evil Within games are pretty fun and spooky and you can probably get them for cheap. Also the Metro games (mostly the first two) I thought were really fun and I hardly see them talked about.

I started replaying Mafia II (Definitive Edition) last night since it's the free Ps Plus game of the month. Fawkin loved the original edition when it came out. Mafia III was a letdown in my opinion.

Make sure it’s the Director’s Cut before you keep playing it. It’s mostly a pretty relaxing game, reminds me of thise truck simulator games if you’ve played those. It’s mostly just bringing things from point A to point B with the main obstacle being the environment. I’d say it’s the best looking game I’ve ever played though and it’s very immersive. Just don’t expect a lot of action.

Baldur's Gate 3 has been a lot of fun, Horizon zero dawn both the PS4 version and ps5 sequel are good. God of war has been said already but it's very good.

Look into getting the plus membership, it will come with a ton of free to download games, but can't play them once the subscription runs out.
