How much money were Opie & Anthony making throughout their run?

It was both. The pool when it was made was the largest private pool in NYC or Long Island. But it was not lined properly and began leaking despite Anthony bragging that he had "world class" companies construct his pool. Anthony had set it to auto fill to the top, so if it would lose a gallon, it would refill a gallon of water to cover the loss automatically. But it was losing a gallon a minute or whatever, but because it would instantly refill it, you couldn't tell that there was a leak somewhere.

And so this went on for an entire month and Anthony (probably Keith) noticed the water bill and realized something was wrong. And the company had to come back and patch the pool and find the leak. Then they told Anthony to keep the auto refilling pump off so that if it was leaking they could know about it immediately. What's hilarious is that if you are sucking up tons of water, or far more than you usually do, the government or water company usually visit you to check for a leaking hose or pipe or at least call you. I wonder if the water company contacted Anthony and he ignored it.

The heating thing was another issue. Anthony would keep his pool at surface of the sun temperatures. Norton once said that Anthony's pool water was actually hotter than his hot tub and not in a sarcastic way. Like Anthony was heating his ocean sized pool to hot tub levels without actually thinking about how insanely wasteful it was.
Hot pools are gross. What a fucking nigger he is.

Also wasn’t his property almost too small for the pool? He had a pretty large one for Nassau County, and it was in Roslyn which is expensive in every way imaginable. What a nigger rich retard

You know what the icing on the cake is… Butcha got hired and not Pat Duffy!
If you listen back to Pat Duffy vs Sam… Tony the intern plainly stated you give Sgt. Magoo or any other pest a W.O.W. Shirt and they would do same schtick that Duffy offered.
Go mow some lawns you Stunt Boy

Interns were not supposed to be doing that.
Cool. That's what interns did for the previous 50 years. You start by getting coffee and food. Prove you can at least do that, and then you get more tasks. Unfortunately, many of you cannot get food and coffee accurately.
Yes but he never gave them their own radio shows and segments.

You're going to question the laziness of O&A, these things happened so they didn't have to work. Yeah sure, let intern David have the last hour with Bobo. These weren't "shows". I remember an intern named John Melendez interviewing people with a stutter in the late 80's. K.C, Grillo. What are you talking about....
Sam spun an internship into hosting his own show and basically having his own channel. He went from O&A intern.....to channel host.

Sam burned down the kingdom so he could be king of the ashes. I'm not impressed.

The pool when it was made was the largest private pool in NYC or Long Island.
This is 100% trash bullshit by a longshot. Where are you getting this retard shit from?

It was not their choice. Sirius and XM forced them to keep an intern program. Because if O&A said on air "hey unpaid interns doing all this work is criminal" then it would open Sirius and XM up for legal liability with all of the other shows that used interns. And interns were a major workforce at Sirius and XM for all shows including the Stern Show. But O&A literally used interns to do stuff like fish shit out of the toilets or have them bang hookers and other nonsense off of the air because they didn't actually need the interns.

And one thing that O&A internships had that no other show did was allow the interns on air. Some interns literally got hours of time to learn how to actually be a broadcaster. Imagine ESPN letting someone have their own show like Intern David. Or allowing an intern to wear a pig costume and say "We are Nagel-ing it up in this bitch!". Or allowing interns to work with monsters like Ladi Di for an entire week. When you interned for O&A you got real experience and on top of that tons of interns were actually hired on the show which never happens anywhere else. People would intern for O&A because there was an actual chance of getting hired which was unlike all other shows and programs.

Stern Show however? Stern treated his main intern at KROCK Steve Grillo so badly that it is still talked about today. At Sirius, Howard and his staff would continue to use the interns for slave labor, which lead to a lawsuit against Sirius that Sirius lost. One of Stern's interns was a food gopher for Robin and was hit by a car fetching food from some deli for Robin. She was told by Sirius "we don't cover injuries for interns" and had to sue them. She ended up dropping out of the class action lawsuit and Intern Matt from O&A became the lead representative when a large group of former interns sued Sirius. The Stern intern's name was Melissa Tierney if you want to look the case up and find out more details.
Grillo was an unpaid punching bag for like 5 or 6 years. Stern is a scumbag and bashing Grillo is a highlight of why Fred is a useless faggot. He can just mimic someone’s voice poorly and do bad quips. “Boff, I got you your baked puhtatatuh.” Then Fred repeats “puhtatatuh” 50 times. Stupid faggot, I hope he gets hit by a bus.

What's funny is all your hatred of Nana would be rescinded if he still had you over for mansion parties.

Anyways, tell us some horrible shit about Sam that wasn't talked about yet.

lmao "mansion parties" What is it you think went on there? Cuz it was mostly the two of us getting drunk in the basement. The wildest thing that ever happened there was Stetten getting fingerblasted by Andy Levy in the hottub. I think somebody took their tits out at that party. That was one of maybe two "parties" that took place. Everything else was family stuff, birthdays, typical get together type shit. Hanging out over there got boring really fast. There's only so much work bullshit you can talk, only so much Opie smashing you can stomach. He's a pretty boring guy. Never wanted to go out anywhere. Just wanted to drink wine and be on his phone. Occasionally he'd fly some chippy in from someplace, and I'd end up flirting with them while he sit on his phone refreshing Twitter. What a party.

I can't say for a fact, but I'd bet Jess was his first and only. He doesn't seem like the early bloomer type an they met in college.

I have no skin in the game and I don’t care but they treated most of the interns beyond your “graduating class” like shit. They deserved to get sued.

They weren't hiring interns. XM Satellite Radio was and Sirius XM was. Opie & Anthony LLC never hired anyone. Don't forget interns looking to work for the show were told straight up "most of your job will be going on coffee and food runs, so you have to be cool with that.." They DID do stuff, but it was mostly the backend boring side of things. Erik would have interns cut up the show for "archiving". Derek would have them pull clips for production pieces. They would screen calls, send out WOW stickers and had access to a professional recording / production studio. Imagine an intern coming in with a kick-ass production piece? I'd be blown away. It also never happened.

My early days of production were trash, but at least I was trying to get things on the air. These dudes had to be told to not sit around. Got nothing to do? Read a newspaper for content. Go find some weird video. Go review and cut up the 20+ hours of television we would record every single night, weekend included. The only time I took an intern for the goof factor was David. I asked him one question, he stared me dead in the eyes without blinking for like 20 seconds before answering. At that point I got up, walked into Steve and was like, "Something is wrong with this kid, we're taking him." Everyone else shot their shot and never made an impact.

There were a few guys that we really liked and did good work, but their internships were up and we couldn't keep them on board if we wanted to. There was no room for another hire so that was that. Sometimes we would try to get them with R&F if they couldn't come back with us. Nobody's treatment really sticks out as sueably harsh besides Intern Noah #2 (Julia) and Creampie Jones. They literally made him pick up shit out of the toilet. The infamous TravDog nut kick was nowhere close to how it sounded on-air. Travis meant to make him flinch and grazed his jeans. Stevie then pulled a fucking soccer injury. I covered for him, he ends up coming clean to the whole thing, and we lose interns for a long while.

Shut up, once Sam was in charge they only hired goofballs to ridicule. Really Travis didn’t kick Stevie in the balls and then say it was an accident on air? That was the last time he (Stevie) was ever on the air by the way. Side note, how ugly was his mom?

I know that Anthony had the cops called on his house many times for parties. And police were regularly visiting him for other reasons to the point where they just happened to be there during the time he assaulted his girlfriend and broke some of her bones (WHERE'S MY GUN?!). His neighbors had major issues with his parties and other activities like him flying drones over their houses when they had kids (he also would fly drones over schools as well). There was a lot of wild stuff that Keith covered up over the years (or failed to) that even sometimes involved police.
That was one of maybe two "parties" that took place. Everything else was family stuff, birthdays, typical get together type shit. Hanging out over there got boring really fast.
Maybe Anthony never had you over for Compound parties after you brought in the felon who robbed Anthony's girlfriend's purse? That incident was hilarious because it showed what a huge faggoty little wimp Anthony was. That someone stole from his house and he did absolutely nothing about it other than let them meekly leave with the stolen goods still on them. Maybe Anthony cut you off from parties after that. As Anthony had tons of parties over the years, usually three or four huge parties per year, both during your Sirius-XM tenure, and after you had left. We even have videos of some of the insanely stupid stuff he did like molesting his cousin or berating Bobo over puking in his studio. Or bragging about driving from his parties when obviously inebriated.

I also know that when Anthony was fired from Sirius and starting Compound Media he tried to throw parties and invite comedians over to network with them. Throw a big Compound party and try to invite guys from the comedy scene to the party then ambush them with a big pitch meeting for signing their shows. And it was alleged that he may have hired some female entertainment to hang around the comedians to try to entice them to bring their shows to Compound.
There's only so much work bullshit you can talk, only so much Opie smashing you can stomach. He's a pretty boring guy. Never wanted to go out anywhere.
We know that Anthony was renting sportscars and going to Atlantic City to gamble constantly. He was going to the casinos so much that they would send him free limos. Which doesn't happen if you spend all of your time at home. Anthony was definitely spending a lot of weekends gambling and drinking. We know that at some point management confronted him about his problem vices because they were bleeding into the show.

So Anthony "never wanting to go out anywhere" is wrong. When we have a million photos of him holding Bud Lights in his hands. The guy is literally partying constantly and drinking out in public. The reason he was even fired is because he was out at night doing God knows what at 3AM in NYC.
Just wanted to drink wine and be on his phone. Occasionally he'd fly some chippy in from someplace, and I'd end up flirting with them while he sit on his phone refreshing Twitter. What a party.
Ever see him fly in a boy prostitute to buy breast implants for? Or sob over the AIDS death of his first boyfriend?
I can't say for a fact, but I'd bet Jess was his first and only. He doesn't seem like the early bloomer type an they met in college.

Cops would come by because he'd be loud at all hours. Him and his chick being loud in the hot tub is not a party.

Fun fact: There was no money stolen, she was advised by Mike the cop to make up that $800 was stolen, since nothing else was. Don't forget what I've mentioned before. I stopped going over there because of guys like Mike the Cop.

We know that Anthony was renting sportscars

For maybe two years as part of the Classic Car Club. Keith would get members out of tickets/cop trouble in exchange for "perks".

He was going to the casinos so much that they would send him free limos. Which doesn't happen if you spend all of your time at home.

Yeah and I was along for most of those rides. If you go to the Borgata and lose $25,000, you bet your ass they want you back there. Sending a car to get you costs them gas, tolls and the driver. You wanna give me $25K+ every time you come over? I'll send you a round trip limo too.

So Anthony "never wanting to go out anywhere" is wrong.

Stop telling me that the life I lived didn't happen. Casino trips were a handful of times a year. It was extremely rare for him to do anything besides a small poker night during the week. I was there chilling on the weekends. It was pulling teeth to get the guy to go to a bar. A bowling alley. Anything besides his basement dive.
Trust me, I get it. When I was in engineering school and I had an internship I remember when my superior kicked me in the nuts.

On what Earth are you trying to equate engineering school with an internship for a show that was fired for anal sex in famous church.

It’s still an internship for college credits and you’re supposed to be doing something close to your major. Check your tone, Dovid. You’re getting lippy. In your estimation how much money did he piss away at the Borgata? I’d imagine that Artie lost millions sports gambling.

No. We would always be asked if we wanted interns. The answer was always yes as there always needed to be people to make runs for coffee and food.

Stern had interns on the air all the time. Ron & Fez as well.

They had to hire us, we we were all about to quit simultaneously. The only hires after that were Sam and Sal. Oh wait, Butcha got hired too, but hated working for the show so he somehow transferred out to another SXM channel.

Stop making stuff up.
Butcha was the same guy who rapped as Eddie Brock right? Did mostly audio stuff behind the scenes? Why did he hate working for the show? What channel did he end up working for?

Yes. And they did. They edited audio, programmed content and learned how a talk-radio show functions in real time.

Once, dude was at the big boy tables. Max bet $10,000. One seat isn't enough, so he's playing two spots. $10K + $10K. Dealer is showing a three or some shit. He's got like 10/10, Q/Q. Splits both hands. $40K now. Stays on one, splits the other ends up with 19/20. $60,000 deep. Dealer makes 21. Spit on the floor, punch Keith, and put more chips on the table.

I called it a night, ordered like $300 worth of room service to his room, guilt free.
Butcha was the same guy who rapped as Eddie Brock right? Did mostly audio stuff behind the scenes? Why did he hate working for the show? What channel did he end up working for?

Yeah, the Butcha' Ed Brock. I felt bad for him. Derek was getting pulled away for production and couldn't spend 4/5 hours on the on-air board. Like yeah, Op was a board op, but just the mic mix and CD audio. The air board consolidated that feed along with any additional like Derek dropping music beds. Always worth to have somebody who knows movies/pop-culture at that spot with the confidence and timing to make plays. So, for all his behinds the scenes help, he'd choke or miss obvious cues at that position which led Jimmy to repeatedly complain about Butcha being on the board, and "where's Derek." This was the void that Ben created. Steve got sucked into Ben, Derek got sucked into Steve, and there was no more Derek. Butcha felt like he was getting a raw deal and he was kinda right. Back then Steve was making those kind of staffing decisions and just kinda furthers proves Steve's inability to properly manage. Butch ended up doing stuff for one of the hard rock stations. Liquid Metal I think?
