In the past six years I can count the number of times on one hand. And I don’t think I’m going to ever again honestly. It’s lame. I went 4 and a half years with out it and when I went out for two weekends in a row it just tasted like shit.

Before that , while in the military, I was a binge drinking drunk. How I never got in trouble or ended up dead is beyond me. I think the worst that I can remember happening is falling down stairs.

The last 6 months I was In the military, In Florida, I was drinking to the point of throwing up all the time and I ballooned out.

Two months after I got out , I wrote it off (for 4 and a half years) and it legit changed my thought process.

Btw, binge drinking is more than three drinks.

Do you just wake up thinking of new ways to judge people and tell them you're better than them?

Yes

I'm a binge drinker. I go until I stop functioning, which takes a fuck of a lot. But I usually take a day or two off in between. I was just hammered for two straight days and I feel fucking weird. I'm all shakey and twitchy.

I was a binge drinker, but it progressively became less enjoyable, to the point it was always and only depressing, sickly and disastrous, so I just stopped. I don’t think it’s possible to regain it, so now I’m sensible and know when to stop.

Booze and cigarettes have never had a hold over me like benzos did, I can stop them on a whim. I can’t imagine the nightmare it would be to become dependant on alcohol.

That’s like my history, I could get black out drunk like the Homer sketch where he can’t remember anything, but always magically end up safe in bed, with no drama or bad things having transpired, I think that just goes when you stop being 20 something.

I feel so uncomfortably fucking terrible right now that I'd say I'm never going to drink again, but that would be a lie. I'm not dependent on it, but I for sure have a problem.

I work with this ex army guy who told me his stories, he got mail from a court case about an enlisted woman who was taking her rapists to trial from their time on base, asking if he knew anything and could he be a witness. He emailed saying he was sorry but he can’t recall anything and knows nothing, and then I asked him if that was true he laughed and said no she definitely got raped I just don’t care,

Good dude. Apparently if he touches a drop of alcohol now he’d end up killing himself, he’s fully Morton about avoiding it.
