Publishers don’t really work like that, in my experience. In trade especially, there’s a very high number of books handled by a small number of people. A nobody author like Rick, even with his insane Twitter presence, isn’t going to ring bells to people who are running around trying to sign up books, get decent first year sales of frontlist titles without any marketing, and probably work a second job because they live in NYC and trade publishers pay like shit.

So I think Rick made this decision. I just can’t figure out why. It’s not like the atalkers are going to stop asking about his next book. It’s certainly not like he’s got anything lined up.

Wait what the fuck? I never really delved deeper into Patty's Rustang, he self admits in 2021 the car has 165,000 miles on it. Been two years since then. He's literally nearing the end of the average Mustang engine life, that's without "proper care to extend its life" apparently.

I don't overly know much about cars but I love the idea of him bragging about a car he has literally drove to near engine death and rusted out the entire bottom as if he is Jay Leno test driving super cars.

This man is also 43 btw. Not some silly 22 year old who made a dumb purchase. I think if Quasi had it repo'd and it was only worth a few thousand at most, it being crushed into a cube on video would melt Patrick's brain.

To people that make 100k a year (especially in Milwaukee), they wouldn't have much time to do all of that-- especially on a weekday. They would rather pay to get it done and do something more product with their time--- like writing (if they were a professional author).
