The most important thing is preparing your mind, and seeing how fragile society is, and making the changes spiritually to protect your soul. We are immortal spirits trapped in dying flesh. I work about 25-30 hours a week, which has decreased since covid. I own my house without a mortgage, food costs suck but are still easily affordable. I mostly work from home but gas prices are pretty much where they were 15 years ago. Healthcare is provided by work.

How many paychecks could I miss? I could easily survive 10-15 years. I vacation like 3-4 weeks every year. I've outpaced inflation on my savings every year I've been invested.
