We have a friend of the family who worked in the diamond industry as a bookkeeper in the 70s and 80s. He retired just when the idea was being thrown around to end apartheid. He moved back to Greece in his late 40s never worked again and currently lives in a very affluent area in Athens. He always had nice things to say about SA.
