if you look at 2022 murder rates for Lagos and Baltimore, you might be in for a shock. I'm not saying there aren't parts of Africa with mass graves no one will ever discover but the urbanised parts aren't as violent as you'd think.

To come back to the original point, I don't see why it's racist to suggest that people born in a place where conflict has been a more consistent part of daily life are more prone to violence. It's unreasonable to think that the mental aspects of humanity aren't just as malleable as the physical ones when rubbed against the grain of evolution. If your parents are prone to feeling threatened then so will you because you learn from them too. You wouldn't think twice of telling a Mexican or South American that they run a little hot sometimes, but try telling that to your African dishwasher and see how long it takes for the suits to arrive.
