They claim it’s the banks are the evil ones giving these large loans to students yet don’t fault the college costs that keep going up every year. Plus it seems like in the 90s / 2000s they started telling students they HAVE to go to college to be successful even though there’s lots of college degrees that don’t relate to good paying jobs which they don’t tell students, just they have to go only to get out with a expensive shit degree.

Personally I think schools need to stop worrying about making things like black history / gay history / etc mandatory and not classes related to being a successful adult. STEM, coding, personal finance, etc and trade / skill options for students.

STEM is also gay but nobody tells you that. Get a bachelors in bio or chem or whatever and you'll be working for shit money in a lab alongside some Somali immigrant with a 6 month certificate in telling the difference between water and fire. Buh-buh-but I worked hard and got straight As! Good for you. You'll be recognized for your hard work and ability to apply yourself I'm sure.

It’s a tough one man. I don’t need the loans forgiven but I sure would like to not have these (((usurious))) interest rates on fawkin’ federal loans.
The interest rates are predatory. If anything roll back the interest and allow them to pay what they originally borrowed.

To be honest with ya; I’d rather see student loans wiped out rather than our continually sending blank checks over to Ukraine’s version of Joe Rogan.

No one bats an eye over the PPP “loan” scam either.

So yeah, forgive student loans, any way to stick it to the (((man))) is good.

You can game any industry. I took classes at a trade school to get into an entry level STEM position, which I used as a foot-in-the-door for a higher paying position. I hustled and propped myself up and was able to make a big position jump just by promoting myself like I used to do in the entertainment industry. I convinced the people that mattered that I was qualified for a position where a BA was a requirement. I make over $100k just because I told the right people how I was the right guy for the job.

My point is that a degree is only as effective as the faggot holding it. I know a bunch of corny faggots that got BAs and are going to be doing entry level coding their whole life

Debt in itself is not a bad thing and I hate that it’s demonized. College became a scam the second the federal government stuck its fucking cock in the student debt markets and removed a huge amount of the risk associated with lending to complete jack offs and forcing politics into it on top of that.

It’s no surprise that college campuses ended up becoming breeding grounds for socialists. They spent zillions marketing to the lowest common denominator and then convinced them they were geniuses for listening to them spew commie gobbledygook.

If they’re getting rid of the debt because people can’t get out from underneath it, does that mean they are reevaluating their involvement in higher education? I know the answer is no to both.

On a related note - I remember reading an article a couple years ago that the number of males applying to college was falling due to guys realizing they could get a job at google or Microsoft if they just get a bunch of super cheap/free tech certifications. In other words, men are ahead of the curve once again

They need to do a better job of explaining on day 1 that a bio or Chem B.S. gives you zero applicable skills for almost anything and should only be pursued if you know from day 1 you’re going to grad school. Bio in particular - you’ll be looking at 35k a year lab assistant positions.

The admin bloat and waste is insane. At my public grad school - which had a total of maybe 215 students - we had like 7 “deans”, they put in a multimillion dollar gym, all kinds of nonsense. In the time I was there tuition went up like 15%.

Deputy Director of IT Cybersecurity for a NY company. Recent promotion, I was making $170k previously as a help desk manager working 3 consecutive 12-hour shifts per week. Gave up the time off for more moolah.
Fawk. That sounds pretty righteous brothaman.

How did you pay off a house that quick? You must do nothing fun in your life
That's the best decision to make. Fun is overrated and most fun should be out of your system by 18.

Becoming financially stable with a roof over your head is much more fun.

30s are the new 20s because niggas don't leave their parents house until they're well into their 20s and early 30s.

Agreed. Paying off a house in like 6 years or whatever that guy did is pretty aggressive though

So to be fair, I got really lucky playing Tesla options during the summer of the chink flu. Managed to turn $50,000 into over $700,000 and paid off 90% of the remaining balance on my mortgage with it.

To your second point, while I was the kind to have occasional fun in my late teens and early twenties, in hindsight I think you're better off working your ass off while you're young and saving the fun for later after you've established yourself. Sure I had less "fun" than others, and when I did, it was mostly just drunken nights at clubs with people which I considered "friends" at the time. Looking back, those nights and the people I spent them with were of no meaningful impact to my life, and more of just a cope for the extreme conditions of trying to balance full-time work/school. Today I surround myself with people who I have common interests/hobbies with and have real fun with them instead.

Yeah a part of my ability to be debt-free today came from pure luck in the stock market. But I also credit a huge portion of my success to my choice to partake on fun and bust my ass off for a few years instead. I try not to compare myself to others, but I look at people I went to high school with as well as most of my friends from a few years ago today and there's simply no comparison. A majority of them are degenerates still living with their parents who blow all of their shit wages on drugs (after paying 90% of it to student loans). A couple others committed suicide. Only one of them is anywhere remotely in the same league as I am and even he still has a ton of student debt and lives in a piece of shit apartment in Queens.

Basically what it boils down to is would you rather have a ton of fake fun for four years of your life in exchange for being a miserable "wagecuck" for the rest of your life, or work your ass off while you're young and spend the next 50 years having real fun, during 15-20 of which you're still relatively young. I don't regret my choices at all.
Can I borrow 60k to make a cartoon?
