I've seen it a hundred times before. Miami wins a couple games and everyone's all excited, then they play a real team and get pulverized. Last year in week two they played the Bills and within a few plays it was over. So it's highly unexpected.

Conflicted, to say the least. I have a lot of family in Washington, and I've been trashing his phony, cornball bullshit for years to them. I hoped it might be a little toned down in Denver, but then he said "Let's ride" and showed up to training camp wearing his own fucking jersey. Boy did I hear about that one. If he can figure out the red zone again and get Denver back to the playoffs, awesome. I want him to play well, of course. But goddamn do all of his former teammates hate him. I'm not gonna be a Russ apologist if he does end up being past his prime and shitty. Giving him an extension before he even took a snap is almost guaranteed to not work out.
