Did any of you ever read the original script for Gladiator 2 by Nick Cave? It borrowed more than a little bit from Casca and was a hell of a trip. Probably would have made a better movie than whatever this is going to be.
Funny enough, Mel was Ridley Scott's original pick for the lead role, which isn't surprising as it is a very Mel-centric role, especially at that time. The Rome Warrior? Mad Maximus?
Tom Hardy, who played the role of Mad Max in the reboot Fury Road, once said something to the effect of, 'I'm an actor. Of course I have done gay things' or something. So you're probably right.
That's your boyfriend's jizzStill is, if you ask me. I still get a lump in my throat when he’s touching the fawkin wheat fields at the end
Had to look him up, defo a bummer. I know all actors are but some more than othersPaul Mescal, Irish actor. Playing Lucius Verus, the kid in the first movie, grown up and revealed to be Maximus's son.
My sister's GBF is a talent agent in London and says the guy is a friend of Dorothy. Whatever, but will he pull off pretending to be a hard case?
Hopefully it won't be too shit. First movie was great back in the day
I saw an interview with him and immediately thought "That's a gay man." Not the flaming effeminate type, but the sad "my agent told me to keep it in the bag" type.Had to look him up, defo a bummer. I know all actors are but some more than others
Russell rules. Great down-to-earth guy by all accountsRussell Crowe is nearly Mel tier to me, except he got fat and tried to be a rockstar (not in that order, I think). The guy used to physically abuse people with phones, so he's PFG to me.
I assume that any man in the entertainment industry is at least half-gay, who will suck and fuck for a role like their female counterpart.
I bet Ray @UnPRePared, Gah bless him, has swallowed a few loads in his time.
This movie right now needs to hit $750million at the box office to make its money back based on its current budget. Meaning it needs to be the 5th highest grossing R rated movie of all time to break even. If they go for more re-shoots or have a higher marketing budget it means even more money has to be made back.
Is it a Kenyan prince slave owner or something? That's obviously not a Roman emperor.. Hopefully they're planning to ruin it to the point of comedy, though.Actual image from Gladiator II.
