He has great attack, but his defense and speed make him too vulnerable.

Pretty much any strong pokemon with a x2 move could 1-hit KO him.

Also his moveset make his great attack too limited to be a viable option.


His one unique and possible redeeming feature is his ability to learn Spore before evolving to himself

A move that can put a status-effect(sleep) on an opponent with 100% accuracy, which is rare since the other sleep ones are 70-75. (or Yawn where a turn is skipped before the sleep takes effect.)

Combine this ability to cause sleep with Swords Dance

A focus sash to prevent himself from being killed on the first move:

and his two STAB(same type as pokmeon) moves of Drain punch to gain back some health

and Seed Bomb of a stronger 100% STAB move

All in all I give him a 4/10, interesting to try to use based on Spore being a move no-one useful can learn:

but ultimately you'll be wasting a spot on someone who at best is a 1 for 1 tradeoff rather than someone who could kill a few in a row.
He would need to face someone slower than him to be able to fight multiple in a row.
