I’m 25. I went to school and got a degree in marketing because I was told that it was the right thing to do. “You’ve gotta go and get a degree in business, man! It’s where all the millionaires are made!”

Not long ago I was laid off, along with the rest of my marketing team, and have since been pushing carts at Walmart.

The job market is rough, man, even if you did everything “right.” I fell into the trap that liberal arts degrees “pay no money and are for pussies,” yet I have friends who are not only making more money than I am, but have an invaluable quality of life due to how happy their jobs make them.

A lot of old heads who say shit like “liberal arts is for pussies” are either:

-Jaded
-Misinformed
-Bitter

Personal satisfaction goes a long way in terms of your career path; making 7
-figures+ means something to only so many people.
