Honestly I’m glad to see Joe is now finally working for a living and he seems to be stepping up to the challenge. Hopefully KillaKun doesn’t get any more of his gigs canceled from the inside.

And Nana just has to talk about how long it’s been since she’s gone on a cruise, but back when she went (and was a millionaire) everything was super fancy and she was eating at the captain’s table.

Whatever he’s expecting, it will absolutely be much worse. He’s going to be in a small windowless interior room in the crew section most likely with at least one roommate, he won’t be allowed to roam around with the guests and gamble when he isn’t working and he won’t be eating the same food as passengers. His co-workers, the only people he will be allowed to interact with, will be much younger than him and won’t want him around. He’s going to be miserable.

I wonder what the accommodations are like for the acts on those things? I'm assuming they aren't getting a nice suite like a paying customer and get to enjoy all the benefits the customers do.

on the one cruise I went on the employees were at least allowed to use the gym. and I believe one night they came up to the bar/club thing they had. so not sure how much freedom they get. but theres are reason they hire all foreigners who will put up with shitty treatment. I did meet one employee who was this HAWWWT Ukrainian chick. that was pfg

I went on one cruise and I saw the band that was preforming in the casino go into their room when I was wondering around looking for a way onto the bow of the ship. They were staying around other guests and not the crew. I ended up in the crew quarters and they weren’t terrible but obviously not great.

It wasnt one of the nice room. It was on the inside of the ship so no windows and it had four small single beds. I only know what it was like in the room cause a drunk guy down the hall was offering shots to everyone who walked by. I took one with him. He snuck the liquor on to the ship in mouthwash bottles. A cousin of mine and his wife are like Marion and would go on like 4 cruises a year. They (childless) only do Disney cruises now because they said nearly every other line is full of niggers now.

For Joe, two gigs over the course of a weekend is a hectic schedule that entitles him to some serious R&R after. I seriously doubt they're paying him to do a 90 minute set once a night. He'll be required to play for hours on end. And when he's finished, he'll be sore, tired and hungry, and he won't have plates of his favorite slop to wolf down, or any medium shelf booze to wash it down with. Day after day, playing those same annoying songs, for an increasingly disinterested audience.

At first, he'll be posting lots of pics of his baskets of fresh mangoes, fluffy towels, and beautiful sunsets. Then, after maybe a week, the complaints will begin. He's being treated like shit, he didn't sign up for this, the cruise line doesn't know how to treat "entertainers" and so forth. And, just like with every single thing he's done in his "music career", he will burn another bridge. By the end of the summer, he'll be busking in the park.
