What's the gayest music you used to be a fan of?

Up till the age of 12 my music taste was mostly alternative stuff, but still accessible through tv. Shit like Rob Zombie, Metalica, the Offspring and Limp Bizkit. My young teens I was big into the nigger beats till I discovered Pantera and never looked back. Im not big into music these days, but I still like my Pantera and Down.

Oh wait you said USED TO. Well in my defense, Ned's isn't really gay as such, I would consider them more "metro." Pretty sure they used to get some pretty fine English tail.

I am the proud owner of a 13 CD box set by ....... Duran Duran.

Some girl I'm fucking dragged me to a Duran Duran show a few years ago. I didn't really grasp how popular that band is with women in their 50s and 60s; it was like every GILF in a 50 mile radius squeezed herself into some dress that stopped fitting in 1995.

On the upside, "Chic" opened up for them. I thought Chic would be comically bad; at the time all I knew about them was that they had a couple of disco hits in the 70s. Much to my shock and surprise, Chic absolutely blew the doors off of Duran Duran and I had no idea that Chic basically wrote every other new wave song in the 1980s. Chic wrote "Let's Dance" by David Bowie, some songs performed by INXS, and basically half of Duran Duran's best tracks. Chic didn't play any Duran Duran songs at all during their set, and I'm guessing it was probably because it would be embarassing for Duran Duran if their opening band performed their songs better than they could.

All the nu-metal/rap core stuff that was big in the late 90’s-early 2000’s like Korn, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, etc.

The Netflix doc about Woodstock 99 intended to portray the event as some cesspool of "toxic masculinity" and singled out Korn and Limp Bizkit in particular. I watched it and was basically blown away by how hard those two bands rocked the crowd. It was also kind of impressive that Limp Bizkit appeared to be stone cold sober, while playing for an audience that was basically on every drug known to man. I thought that was kind of impressive for them, to be so focused on doing a killer show that they didn't lean on chemical enhancements.

My favorite artist is such a lolcow, South Park styled one of their characters after his ridiculous mopiness.

He's basically a caricature of a Redditor; he brings his parents to his shows, has featured home videos of them in his live act, is so obsessed with Japanese culture that he found himself a Japanese girlfriend. The top post in his subreddit right now is some "heartwarming" pic of two guys kissing each other at his Coachella set from two days ago. One of his team has trooned out, and Porter's first big hit was a love song that he did as a duet, using himself to sing both the male and female sections of the song. (The female parts are autotuned.)

Fantastic live show tho, I've seen him four times in three states now.

Linkin Park. Everybody goes through that faggy angsty edgelord phase...but you eventually grow out of it and look back on it with shame.

I brought this on cassette. It was number one for 15 weeks. As a country we don't really talk about this. 1994 has been rebranded as the birth of britpop and Oasis becoming massive.

I was young.

In my teens I liked Indie music which I don't think has dated too badly yet. Give it a few years.

Quite possibly one of the worst bands to ever see play live. Yuck

"I listened to the "Judgement Night" soundtrack album recently, which I remembered liking at the time, and God alive, man, it's just terrible."

I thought it was one of the greatest soundtracks ever when it came out.

You didn't like this banger?

El-P produced great music but it irks me that he seems like a fag
