Whats the best place to shoot a dog in the head to kill it?

I don't want to fuck up the shot and have to doubletap on a squirming dead body.

And dogs have kinda retarded skulls, like a puppy can roll down 30 stairs and be fine or an adult could jump out of 2 story building, land on its head, then jump up and do it again.

For reference please use this picture of a dog skull:

Plenty of people drive out to the country and dump off their dogs. Even the really old ones can live out there okay for a good long while.

But shit man, either do your psycho shit and get it between the eyes or give it to a shelter. I promise you there's a white mom with little kids just dying to rehab a nervous, aggressive dog for some reason.

Here I go being serious...

There are people that rehab dogs like this all over the world. Look up a rescue dedicated to the breed, I can almost guarantee someone will take him.

I understand getting rid of him, and yes, he's just an animal, but the fact that he took to you says he at least has a chance to change. Give him that first, is all I'm saying.

That's what I'm thinking too. My buddy's ex had this jacked, mailbox-headed pitbull she had to get rid of because it was aggressive. The things are outlawed here and she still managed to find a rescue to take him in. At first I was positive that she got tricked into giving it to a dog fighting ring but we looked it up and it's a legit organization.

Having said that, I have a lot of family and know a bunch of farmers who just shoot their dogs if they need to be put down. I couldn't do it, but it's more common than a lot of people would think. It's usually them tearfully Ol' Yeller-ing their beloved pets but I've heard of dogs that were causing problems getting shot whether they belonged to the farm or a neighbour.

I've never heard of this happening recently but some oldschool hicks would just shoot their hunting dogs if they fucked up a hunt or wouldn't run deer or whatever. That's especially sad to me because those are usually the friendly dogs with no prey drive who should've been living with a family instead of in a pen outside. I remember my buddy's uncle yelling at us because we were in his hounds' pen petting them when we were little. "You guys are gonna fuck my dogs up!"

She apparently looked into it already..
Did try to give it to the guy who might end up shooting it a year ago, he has plenty of big dogs, dog tried to attack the wife and GF took him back the next day

I'm doing a temporary solution to have them live in my house this week so we have more time to make a decision, I guess I should actually look into it myself now that I have a chance, who knows if she's a fucking Jackie at dog shelter opsec

That last part, Abe, has never made sense to me.

We had neighbours growing up that loved to Grouse hunt, and had the dogs for it, too. They were still house dogs though - great with the family and kids, but once you get them out there, a switch turns on for the job. It's fucking training, is all.

I will never understand the logic that being harsh to a dog makes them a better hunter. If anything, you want them to love you so they'll want to please you. It's a partnership, in a way.

Plus I just can't be mean to a house animal like that. Everytime Gosia and I are out, and she's approached by a friendly dog, she absolutely melts. There's a real love certain animals just give off.

@TheGhostOfAbeVigoda , remember when we talked about how affectionate cows were? I'll still eat red meat, but man... I think about that every time.

Some dogs deserve to be shot. Its a tough one, man, but it pretty much sounds justified at this point. The only thing i can think of is try to find someone(a nig) who wants a guard dog they can just tether up on a 4ft chain and leave it in their front yard (in the ghetto). But to answer your question id shoot it in the back of the head on the brain stem like MickyG said. I love dogs and dont condone it whatsoever but what do you do about a born and bred killer that wont stop attacking people and is going to maim a small child one day?

Edit: Do you do drugs/know any opiate addicts? You could put a half gram/gram of dope(fent) in its food and let it go to sleep and never wake up. Thats the most humane way to go IMO.

This is a disgustingly common practice in VA. Ive heard dozens and dozens of people doing this. Its almost just kinda accepted by the faggot rednecks. If the dog wont jump deer or isn’t interested in doing its ‘job’, they just shoot it. Hardcore hunters usually have 20 of the fuckers anyways so i guess they just see them as disposable? Hunters usually treat their dogs like shit for 10 months out if the year and just leave them chained up in the middle of the woods
